Local Funding Measure to Protect

Great Teachers & Excellent Education

Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) is committed to excellence for all students. Many families choose to live here because of the outstanding educators and excellent programming offered across all our schools.

With highly qualified teachers and a graduation rate of 98%, Culver City Unified graduates are accepted into selective colleges and go on to succeed in competitive careers. Our strong local schools continue to improve, contributing to the quality of life that makes Culver City such a desirable place to live and helping to protect property values.

The Challenge: Because the State does not provide adequate funding to protect the high-quality academic programs our community expects and be able to continue to attract and retain the best teachers, the CCUSD Board of Education is placing a local parcel tax measure on the November 2018 ballot. The amount and term of the funding measure has not yet been determined. If approved by voters, a local funding measure would provide locally-controlled funds to protect and enhance the quality of CCUSD schools.

The Board is still considering all funding options and welcomes community input during this process.
