Wait List Information (Updated 8/28/2018):

Kindergarten Acceptances to Dual Language Programs and Wait Lists

The first round of Dual Language Offers (to CCUSD residents) to El Marino and La Ballona were mailed on April 10.

  • El Marino: Two additional offers for Spanish and four for Japanese were mailed on April 26. Wait List letters were mailed to all Culver City residents who were not offered a space in the Dual Language Programs at El Marino Language School. Since no space is available at El Marino for permit students (except those who passed the Spanish Proficiency Exam), a Wait List was not established.
  • The Japanese Immersion Program at El Marino is at capacity.
  • The Spanish Immersion Program at El Marino may go to Wait List numbers 5 & 6.
  • Child Care, through OCD, at El Marino is at maximum capacity for TK and K.

CCUSD offered 21 spaces in the Spanish Dual Language Program to permit applicants who scored 70 and above on the Spanish language proficiency assessment; all accepted the offer and almost all have already received their permits and enrolled. Since no space is available in the Dual Language Programs at El Marino and La Ballona for permit students (except those who passed the Spanish Proficiency Exam), a Wait List was not established.
