Science (NGSS)
The goal of the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS) is to prepare California students to be future citizens and scientists. NGSS builds on students curiosity of the natural world and engages students to solve real-world problems. Students become scientist themselves and practice many skills that scientist do like asking questions, analyzing data, engaging in argument from evidence, planning an investigation, and communicating their ideas. Students use these skills to discover science concepts around physical science, life science, earth and space science, and engineering.
For additional information, see the California State Department of Education's NGSS webpage.
