Ms. Anne Allaire is a mother, education advocate, policy enthusiast, and champion for thriving communities , who has been honored to serve on the Board of Education since 2015. A leader in the movement to empower parents, Ms. Allaire helped form the United Parents of Culver City
(UPCC) and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions including: Room Parent, PTA President, Council PTA Vice President, and chaperone for the Mexico Exchange Program.
In addition to her work on CCUSD’s Board of Education, Ms. Allaire works as an Advisor for LAUSD’s Division of Adult and Career Education and is as a member of the Legislative Committee. She also serves on the Board for Venice Family Clinic’s Early Head Start Policy Council. She supports efforts focused on improving the lives of all people and communities using activities such as education, advocacy, civic engagement, and policy analysis.
Ms. Allaire is the eldest of a large military family. She is the first person in her family to attend a 4-year university. Her military childhood involved many moves and transitions that included 3 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools. Her non-traditional upbringing
instilled in her a passion for supporting first generation students. Additionally, she is an advocate for Career (Technical) Education and preparing students not just for college but for their future careers.
Ms. Allaire is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She later earned a Masters in Knowledge Management from CSUN and another Masters in Counseling Education from Loyola Marymount University. Ms. Allaire lives within Culver City, CA with her two children, Liam and Isla, and attends as many Dodgers games as possible.
