Ms. Anne Allaire has been honored to serve on the Board of Education for Culver City Unified School District since 2015. On behalf of the Board she serves on the Advisory Panel for the Friends for the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center and liaison for the Culver City Education Foundation. Ms. Allaire’s background with CCUSD includes more than 9 years of volunteerism and leadership. She helped form the United Parents of Culver City (UPCC) and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions including: Room Parent, PTA President, Council PTA Vice President, and chaperone for the Mexico Exchange Program.
In addition to her work on CCUSD’s Board of Education, Ms. Allaire works as an Teacher/Advisor for LAUSD’s Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE). In this role, she provides outreach and recruitment efforts for DACE in partnership with the City and County of Los Angeles. She also serves on the board for Venice Family Clinic’s Early Head Start Policy Council.
Ms. Allaire is the eldest of a large military family. She is the first person in her family to attend a 4-year university. Her military childhood involved many moves and transitions that included 3 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools. Throughout her career, Ms. Allaire has been a champion for education, first-generation students, veterans, women, and the LGBTQ community. With a lifelong commitment to social justice and equity, she supports efforts focused on improving the lives of all people and communities using activities such as education, advocacy, civic engagement, and policy analysis.
Ms. Allaire is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Technical Writing focus). She later earned a Masters in Knowledge Management from CSUN and another Masters in Counseling Education from Loyola Marymount University. Ms. Allaire lives with in Culver City, CA with her two children, Liam and Isla, and attends as many Dodgers games as possible.
