Baxter our first recipient is from El Marino language school and our first recipient Alegre I asked Resurgence past Batman is a hard worker Benjamin has a hard worker and a great example to his peers specifically he has improved in all areas from last and continues to move in the right direction as an l o l we are proud of all his hard work congratulations Benjamin also from El Marino Language School student who holds many valuable traits that qualify him to be a recipient of the American citizen a ward at school here is fair to his classmates and always displays a polite and respectful attitude towards teachers and staff in the community he is also an excellent athlete participating different sports activities where he shows his great sportsmanship he is well-respected by his coaches and his teammates he also has been participating in Zoom meeting among students from Japan and Los Angeles where they have discussion do presentations about topics through these meetings he has established a strong bond with many friends from Japan his fairness perseverance respectfulness and diligence are the great qualities for him to receive such an honorary honorary award congratulations cancer our next tune is from El Rincon Elementary preschool and it's itsy us and saw restore us and I hope I'm pronouncing that right CIA is an example for a third grade student who emulates citizenship across the campus at El Rincon she is a friend to all in the first one to check in on students when they're having a hard time she takes time to help other students whether they need a pencil or someone to talk to it's me I can always find the positive in any situation on a day when the rest of the cuz I'm happy about her boring schedule she makes it a point to express something in the day she is grateful for she often draws pictures for teachers and people just because also maybe most importantly she does all of this in such a genuine way is a rocket box or some other price and we look forward to what the future has in store for her congratulations thank you our next award recipient is Beau poker it is with great pride that El Rincon congratulations bococa for this month Citizenship Award bow is a signed helpful and hard-working scholar who was a natural leader everyday show shows what it is to be an El Rincon Rockets he is ready to learn and willing to help those around him he takes it upon himself to make sure that all students feel welcome and included recently and she noticed that a student hadn't received a prize for Apex fundraiser and took it upon himself to make sure that the student would get a prize so they wouldn't feel left out bow is a Wonder student who will soar to Greater Heights we are also excited to see the amazing things Beau will accomplish in his future congratulations both our next students are from Farragut Elementary School would like to recognize a meatball Carpenter changing Eniko is a wonderful example of students who shows up a positive attitude not only to her classmates but adults and other students around the school she shows kindness to those around her by giving them her best smile to make sure everyone feels part of our class Ansel community that make on never gives up even even when things get tricky and is the first person to offer a helping hand when others are facing tricky task through her actions she shows up how to embody a growth mindset and not give up way to go and Maaco thank you our next unit also Farragut is Indiana indie Indy arrives at school every morning with a smile on her face ready to learn ready she makes sure to include others and advocates for students who might not otherwise advocate for themselves you could always count on you to do what's right and he's a model inside and outside of the car exemplifies our true citizenship is congratulations Indiana in front of La by owner we have SMS to Rio Harley has an admirer of her passion for Learning and she has a great attitude every day and comes in ready to help her. Oliver Brugler Oliver tasteful seriously and is a very hard-working student he is honest and kind to all adults and peers Oliver is a responsible 3rd grader he takes his class job seriously preserve an assignment and a Oliver is empathetic to those who struggle and does his best to support them he is truthful and very respectful his manners are impeccable Oliver Place club soccer but does not live that interfere in here with his Studies Office that Oliver is a highly deserving of the October 2022 Citizenship Award congratulations Oliver our next student Holland why would and if I mess that up if I apologize names are so important but Holland Road is he here can you tell me how to pronounce your last name screen okay I am so proud to be nominating Holly for this prestigious award there are so many reasons why she deserves this award in the classroom every time I look at Holly she is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing always she tries her best even if the lesson is hard she stays focused until she understands the work on the playground she shows Great Character and include everyone in her Circle my friend Holly will always have a smile on her face and kindness in her voice congratulations Holly you deserve this begin from the Middle School we have three students tonight and are on the tires from the 8th grade Isabel Contreras in the sixth grade and Diego Ramirez from the 8th grade Culver City Middle School would like to recognize three students who were our student vendors in our first-ever Noche de Familia celebrating Latin X Heritage Month amazing examples of Panther pride and young entrepreneurship dazzle me so fragrant homemade soaps that she has been making since clorintine Antojitos Diego old traditional desserts from Mexico and El Salvador Izzy's Booth is he creates told hand crocheted items that she and her mother named together are Noche de Familia was a huge success and we are so proud that our student vendors were here showcase their talents and sell their homemade Goods to their community members congratulations Dora Isabel and Diego next we have Culver City High School next we would like to honor let's that Acquire a choir list that has been a model citizen in many ways this year she works hard everyday others with a positive outlook helps her classmates and takes responsibility for her own success he has been very successful in her classes chemically and socially she is very responsible considerate and kind she has friends who she lists daily to ensure they are also successful Outlook and attitude is truly Levin it is my pleasure to recognize the secondary administrators as they come forward with some highlights of the secondary program good evening cabinet board members to attend our school community members my name is Doctor Lisa Cooper I'm Patty Jaffe administrative consultant at Culver City Middle School and we would like to present Culver City High School in Culver City Middle School secondary Spotlight tonight welcome Uber and I'm honored to present the ccusd secondary spa-like 2022 highlighting Culver City Middle School Panthers and Culver City High School centaurs welcoming are centaurs in our Panthers back to campus after summer break is always an exciting event we have lots of things planned activities and excitement to prepare find the brand new school year link ruined web work hard to plan activities for 6th graders and 9th graders as a transition to the middle school and high school continue resting. Their students are having a fun strange and Norrell naked to our campus can I get a calculator different types of Mexican music in inclusion as the foundation of building learning environment where all students had a sense of belonging and can succeed and Thrive when I learning spaces are respectful Equitable and welcoming to all our students overall academic and well-being improve positive behavior intervention support or PBIS is the foundation for our school Behavior expectations with the help of various stakeholders a school Behavior Matrix was developed it is currently be implemented the Matrix list out the behavior of stations with a different areas on campus also restorative circles have been taking place in many different classrooms to ensure the overall success of all of our students and our goal is to weave PBIS concept into everything do everywhere on campus who is Culver City Middle School in Culver City High School are dedicated to honoring our students positive behavior towards and incentives Culver City Middle School encourages positive behavior Ourisman Spike knowledge in our student body and staff members through cancer of the week for both teachers and students to nominate one student and teacher was going to buff and Beyond to help resolve a need for school community and recognize publicly Panther points are earned with the students display of school spirit kindness and positivity which can be redeemed at the incentive store called seeks Pride awards are nominated on a monthly basis by teacher who demonstrates the fried Behavior expectations of being prepared respectful known for integrity diligence and engagement similarly Culver City High School encourages positive behavior reinforce pregnology her student body through the censure pillars award which focuses on students performances and academics activities arts and Athletics and the key is in Santa shop for students purchase essential burning supplies why what's going on Cooper City high school what is for more than five years for upperclassmen and recently it became a graduation requirement for entering 9th graders Culver City High School introduced a new course called arts and culture for students are able to learn about an arch from various parts of the world hi my name is Lila Beauregard and I'm a junior at Dorothy high school and I'm including core classes it has been useful in many of my classes I have used information I've learned to support in history classes it's the base as well as essays in my English class with the seminars and as well so much information that I think this is direly important to society today and not many schools are missing out on and I think that is the way it's so away for our school to become a leading in California I think it is were they more interesting for students and I think I continuing to work. games that are better prepared to take on and it's the thing that we wouldn't normally talk about and every last be able to do any empty boxes and going on when he was saying we get to have debates at the top. Everyone's point of view instead of just one person that's just buy it and we didn't have we debate, and we get the thing someone having an opinion and then someone else having another opinion every week our students have ACP flex and Paws opportunity for intervention support this could be either study hall at social emotional learning sessions or a physical fitness activity students get to register for the session is their choice using enriching students yeah and Senior here at the high school I usually like to take the time to go to classes to catch up on any work I need for the week other than that I also go to pop's club which is every De Anza Park bus so that's something I can give me a chance to meet some friends and so are accusing people likes to bond with my friend so I'm excited that we are going into a second year of offering a support group during this time last year we had a really good time with the you should really check out with some of the ones I have, they're returning this year we talked about any racial Injustice on campus all the way to career path and anything you want to talk about is a closed comfortable anything that you want to bring up I'm open to let the conversation go either way that it wants to roast and then these are the questions of why we're here and where do we go now, so hot it's always better when we're together mama jokes songs available for students to join a great way for students to find where they belong in the high school social community and to find someone soon as with similar interests and goals I'll be able to meet new people on teachers and really feel involved in campus life somewhere in between somewhere in between middle school and Culver City High School support are schools ongoing collaboration with ELD support beginning in sixth grade and spanning through the end of high school that's help their students develop their listening speaking reading and writing skills are six to ninth grade Support classes additional support for students in their efforts to meet the standards more rigorous and relevant mathematics courses we are proud of her math and he is offered for students to work in pairs or small groups solutions to problems or Learning Center and study skills special education elective class is offered to our sixth through 12th grade or organization and study skills asai classes for ELA math social science and science support staff development is important that the high school and middle school we constantly look at data to make sure there were always serving are in Tarzan Panthers cchs has been participating in a professional development focused on grading for equity program we go ahead and examine our grading practice I'm sure that students reflect their Mastery of the essential standards why was loading the high school in the Middle School will deliver at the minds of Blue Sky programs for students this fall Australian so it's better when with City High School has the largest College and Career Fair on the west coast but over 100 colleges represented Donald Trump moments City High School athletics is one of our for a we have 17 sports that our students can choose from Sports is off to an amazing stars are the robust program at the middle school and we continue to grow and support our goal is to continue a smooth transition from middle school to high school this is just another opportunity for our students to excel somewhere in between there are several different Mercedes for parent involvement across both the high school and the middle school they have the PTSA elac booster clubs in various action groups parent mixers and parent night but I can have both of our campuses we love to have our parent and we want to continue to make those opportunities available can I see Sanchez or working relationship between students and responsibilities increase social capital and Cranston rear Support Services Charleston in downtown Louisville most of the questions in my heart every one day we Implement Wellness Wednesday this is put in place to support both our students and our staff staff takes a break from instructions and students take a break from learning any new content this is to allow a designated time to focus on social and emotional learning lessons and prioritizing our Mental Health dog it takes a whole Community to support some tires in our Panthers are office staff are custodians our support staff teachers and administrators and counselors that are panthers in our centers and in it is better to be together who's thank here in tonight it's a pleasure to see all in the audience thank you genuinely appreciate that all the administrators are here together and I think I'm sure I won't be the only one to say this but I think it's a strange that we're presenting all of secondary together similarly to how we have moved to doing so with Elementary together and speaks to you know of course articulation but just the I think Community Building between the two sites is really an opportunity so I appreciate that you're demonstrating that for us I did get the opportunity to visit Car City High School for a second time recently do classroom observation so I was able to see some of the presentation in action and Dad included ethnic studies and architecture an integrated algebra and Algebra 1 and then I'm probably forgetting some on this most recent visit but I love that there is this culture of learning best practices from each other that's taking place and I'd be interested to invite Culver City Middle School to invite us to do similar classroom observations I'll just throw that out there I've really been enjoying it and learning a great deal from it and I have two questions and I think that they are simply one is that there was a PBIS Matrix that was mentioned and I probably should know this but I can't recall what our process was forgetting the Community member and put that was spoken to so maybe somebody could respond regarding how we got input from students and or other community members regarding the Matrix and then also I know that we are really at the beginning of our journey on working on ensuring all of our students feel welcome and included and reflected in their curriculum and I know that it's our students with disabilities are also an important feature of our district Pei work so I was wondering if someone can speak and maybe both if you could speak to your goals this year for ensuring that our students with disabilities feel that they belong in a reflected in the curriculum as well and if you have to get back to us that's okay to thank you both so much just to figure out how we're going to do this would you rather answer questions or you want to do it that it comes out on I can speak each one cuz I think can remember are if one of my ministrator is that can answer it as well and also for the middle school so where the PBIS had actually took place about two years ago we have a p b is in group where it includes features pair State News administrator staff who actually worked on developing the rubrics for that and it was implemented this year's and our parent student handbook for the first time, and when they go in to do the Les Twins they always refers to the rubric as well and it was introduced to students during their orientation. This year 2 years ago you said that you had a committee and it had you know students teachers staff and parents yes it was a baby is Action Group who is this today but that was their brain goal at that time was to create the rubric and actually there was a different administrator here at the time so it's not the same assistant principal that was here that led the group Madness and Mayhem is Julia leads the group now and where the middle school is in regards to the PBIS Behavior may we do have a PBIS team they were surveyed about to the community to are a parent who's there on the paw print couple years back where were you this Sushi back for more of behavior statement of purpose and also for the behavior Matrix it is something that we do want to reach out to the community and get morphine back because it snows ever-evolving and as far as that including walls I definitely would want to get back on more detail now but I do we have taken steps this year as far as some additional positions to support our special education students and one was specifically over this summer to that was really important to trans informate grade to ninth grade and also being there for registration to support families and registration in which we did not have fire I will say we're at the beginning phases it is really important for us to make sure that we expand is and make sure we are hearing the voices of our students in our family and those programs at the middle school we do have the co-lab classes and the special education students are included also our special day class students to attend elective classes with the support of their age and or their teachers and once again we are doing we are continuing to look at our special education population to see what more we can do to for them thank you hi everyone thank you so much these presentations is the reason why we wish I was going to wake up in the morning and we do the volunteer work that we do because I don't know if you know but as secret as we only get $268 a month for for all the work that we do as board members so I just wanted to say like this is why we do what we do that I really love the presentation and I really enjoyed learning about how the students are and how we're helping our students behold academically and socially in their Sports and their creative work in the end that was just beautiful and it was well displayed some of the things that I didn't see and maybe you can just don't have the answers please don't feel like you have to respond to but some of the things that I'm looking forward to learning when the when we start that work or when we start cousin the workaround elac site council meeting and the elk a plan child is being implemented I know that I'm throwing a curveball here be like I love what you presented give me more so I just want to know like what are the what are the current plans that have the have the meeting started are the hardest but the middies are we getting parents to show up and participate I don't want to know the results I just want to know like where are we at with with these different committees Friday we have already had a high school nominations in voting we have already put together our School site Council for this year we have already went through our training for the city and what school site council is about we actually had a full day of training which was really nice to have this year in tours fresh everybody on the responsibilities in our roles of School site Council we have we've had one meeting and we're about to go into our next training for the safety belt safety plans which is going to come up in a couple weeks of school so I can Sonic LT training of the new template and format without your Larson that will expand another half a day of going to our safety plan so yes we have we have meetings planned out we've already voted president or vice president secretary which is all yes I did and it was really great to go to the training that allow for the School site council members to bond in a way that we had not before because we were just kind of showing up for our weekly or monthly want our meeting but to have that time to go to the training and really talk communicate and really understand what our role is really nice to have this year or the Middle School we're in a similar process where we just completed our training or about a couple weeks behind and under high school was bars. our team for the council we have our meeting scheduled for the rest of the year for the elac committee we are putting a group together I'll be represented by the Admin is going to oversee reaching out to the community to get that $5 out pretty soon I'll we also have our Equity advisory committee that connects with our population and they've already had their first meeting their continued to meet and greets if I'm in town and through our School site Council to make sure that that disgusting work on YouTube is it correct thank you for the presentation what dr. Chen said I was able to visit the high school thank you to the high school administration and I attended an avid class and the financial math studies and a couple other classes and also saw this and had engaged in a restorative circle with a class in real time and they were dealing with some my husband just waved at me with some challenges I was able to see in real-time how they were able to collaborate on some classic norms and even take ownership for their behavior and I appreciate that opportunity and is what I was acting the extra 10 thing I would love to see an opportunity like that for us to visit the middle school because I know a lot of good work is happening there to in the classrooms and so it would be great to have an opportunity to classroom observations regarding the middle school I do have a question about after school this is not a question that you have to answer right now but there are a lot of students who hang out after school they're not allowed to be on campus has they're asked to leave but when they leave they go to the sidewalk or up and down the street do the neighborhood you're not matches these are bored kids and we know that maybe they're not able to be picked up if their parents you know can't get off work or they're not in an after-school program what can we do to support you and supporting those students because it is somewhat of a recipe for disaster when kids are left to you know hang out what what can we do to support you and supporting them please let us know when you would like to come and visit our school is always open to you so we too are looking at this issue we do have our library open where the students can go many of them some of them do go to the teen center but we know that we have to have something that's cool we're looking at creating more after-school clubs we're just about we just sent out a survey as far as that goes to get our teachers and then we will have the student sign up actually dr. Chapman just today with outside and to the survey with those students it was very informal and he asked them what it would take for them to stay on campus or we have a safe place to go there first thing was well give us the money she said well that's not going to happen they just say volleyball they were like water and snacks so we're going to look at our club and also try to figure out a way to provide and I think that dr. Smith has given us the name of a group that provides grants so we're going to we're looking at all of that and then even if we can get a teacher to stay after and do Wall basketball something like that and and just provide the water and snacks it might take it you know some of that time I thank you for that I appreciate you finding ways to keep them occupied and a healthy way I did my own informal survey one day and they said the same thing they would stay on if they can play basketball and have some snacks maybe some homework help so they're they're letting us know what they need and I just want to support you and helping provide that to them so thank you I'll just I'll just that one very preliminary but new Earth is also in talks with them coming in providing some type of the Richmond opportunity to put on that a Wednesday early release day so that their movements a student so that's something that we've been talking about this being an area to address and we mentioned it to them in that meeting and that's something that we brainstorm together so worried great thank you I appreciate that and I appreciate you're thinking of ways to find Grand Sport because again families may not be able to pay for an after-school program but it's still need it so thank you for that for the high school again I just want to thank you for allowing us to have that opportunity to come and basins few things that I took away from that the AVID program I would love to see that grow in dr. Cooper and I had a conversation about that and I don't know I know it will take more teachers you know they have more sections or it's more classroom space I don't know but if it is there anything that you can share with us about that program that you're saying that would give us some more insight on his child we can support growing out of it and not just making it that's just for students who are first-generation you know the college on their own Catholics more students who would you know fall under different categories but we're still benefit from a bit of a mess you know what you think yeah so you know where my visit we saw firsthand and that was our first. Class and the students has so much energy they basically rent at last at the structure set and was supporting each other as well as a tutor that was there to do really prepare them for their day and I was like imagine if every student receive that their day would be because all their questions would be answered first so they're going into their other classes so it is something we can explore because Abbott strategies can be school why without it being at Oscar say that you can have the strategies within the school it is about getting more teachers trained and attended the summer Institute said they have so we're definitely looking add an opening up to this teacher's that would like to learn this dratted he's not necessarily have to teach the class because it does take sections and other logistics in the master schedule is but I think it would be good to have the opportunity to the training syllabus strategies going to start being in school I think you so I wanted you to show you because I wanted to put it out in the open that this is something that I think we should really pursue when we look at our next budget more looking at our alligator $5 in benefits the students greatly and I imagine it benefits their teachers because now these students are showing up prepared which is one less thing to those teachers to have to deal with in a boost everybody's compass and then one more thing now that the whole honors discussion has been a Hot Topic but haven't been able to see you know what is an ethnic studies class in real time and actually know that was I saw an English 9 College breakfast and saw the students to elaborate I'm working together can you just give us an update on how English 9 College Prep is going and how much the students are actually the rest yeah so we have been collaborating with pictures of lot just making sure they're supported in here is he back from them and we encourage him and also trying to set a structure with him to get feedback from their students so we can hear from our students directly to the which allows for the opportunity to be flexible and pivot and May adjustments were needed so we are working with our teachers there but yeah you would like to say it when you see it firsthand makes a difference that we saw a class at the students were thriving and the teacher was just on it and it was really and there's always differentiation no matter what the class is and to hear from the students that they know they're being challenged and they're also given opportunities to collaborate and engage with students who come from different backgrounds and perspectives that's really great thank you that's the way I am okay then I guess it's up to me I only have two questions after all of those questions from work one of which I'm pretty sure you're going to want to come back later with any other one I hope you knew was coming so let me start with the one you wear I'm assuming you're going to need to look some things up and come back and I'm really curious about what we can say in terms of numbers and specific activities about where we are with the restorative justice programs requires a fair amount of training and becoming the culture and so forth so I'm not expecting you to know off the top of your head but I'm curious about how many restorative justice circles have we done how many students have been involved, teachers feel like they're trained and how many still thinking you still need more work trainings more nuts and bolts about how it's being done to try to address it right now but I'm perfectly happy with an e-mail sometime later as well our teachers have been going through training is just the beginning of the year in fact they have another training with you tomorrow so their training has been ongoing we also have allow for them to self select have circles come in their classroom PBIS send a starter practice lessons as well I'm so it is on going nowhere not a hundred percent sure but everything we do and everyone's we will look in its around restorative practices and I want to just bring up with somebody cuz she been doing an awesome job with Miss Julia and run in our TV is in restorative circles and teachers are highly requested her now cuz she's been so amazing so she could speak to about a round of number of circle she's done so far, so I haven't been in Channel classes so far and have done was sort of circles that teachers have requested to come in just to re-establish some custom norms and expectations in the class to ensure success for all students in the classroom number of Justice a restorative Circle we were actually at the point where which has been really great to see cuz they know it's something that's happening cuz Word of Mouth spread around campus let's talk before something you know get us to where we don't want it to get to the sense of responsibility and accountability has been something that we've been really excited and happy to see and teachers are also becoming aware of its teachers are requesting more tell tell me if they're seeing an issue with a couple students in class and then we have those one-on-one conversations but we are done 10 and classes and we're done a lot with a would you say it in terms of students who need this you're at when you don't really know yet where we stand in terms of I'll thoroughly into the the culture it is compared to where you want to go already it's actually embedded in the culture I think we have room to grow of course I would say now we are where we would want to be at this point in the school year and I'm hoping that maybe June will be will see a complete 12 s*** like 180 shift and school culture and just students understanding with the expectation and really knowing how to handle situations when they got thank you and have a question on which is what you need from us what can you what do you want to ask the board to do or you say I really need this how can we help me figure out where we are and what we need to send you for next year when we will reach out and the Middle School in the high school administrators because they have been an amazing team and we shall relax and we're still standing strong what is coming to this time you'll be getting back into some of the board meeting but as far as restorative justice goes I really think it's a middle school you know just kind of My overall is that we kind of in the beginning stages and I think we have a lot farther to go I think we just I've been working with new birds and we do have some two amazing new counselors that are really wanted to groups and and they're starting to do that when have something at lunch the other day so we're working on it I don't we're not as far as the high school and I think if we went to collaborating with them will be able to get there also and I want to chime in on what we I mean we all met together today so if there's an issue we get together and we discussed it Stanley what we heard but it's so for them asking you on the fly but you know I just want to make sure that the community knows that of course there are a huge part of our secondary programming they are going to be next week I'm a lot of the community see a lot of stuff in our newsletter and things like that I've definitely we can do a presentation on APPA so that is you know and are ZTE Pathways I think that picture I think that might be probably what you're asking for specific Mimi I mean that I don't want to put a burden on you but I am looking forward to updating the community on how robust all that programming is it somewhere that can fit in and I'll leave it to you all to decide thank you so much okay so I think that takes us to public recognition so we're about to start with members of the audience so people in the room this is the time if you have comments about things that are not on the agenda either and a card up if you're in or raise your hand on Zoom but how many do we have with our interest on suit for public recognition two cards and we have one hand so this is our time for comments on items not on the agenda why don't we get started with you okay we will start with Marci Bond followed by Dave milky and then we will take Melissa's iPhone did you say free all the students for their citizen Wards on the high school campus this is not only against u c c u s d policy against California's add code illegal this was egregious behavior and ccusd is only response was issued an apology without naming a candidate the district needs to take a stronger stand to ensure this never happens again we need to protect our students from this fight song on high school campuses they are wrapping up yet again with almost daily fights just last week and 9th grader was walking to school on a Linda when she was attacked from behind and dragged down to the side of the sidewalk prepare the aggressor proceeded to beat her up a few days later a sixth grader was chased by a pack of girls screaming at her to fight gorger was terrified and all he skated because her parents arrived time for her to jump into the car the same aggressive attacks the 9th grader was part of the mob chasing the 6th grader platitudes and excuses are not acceptable speed on students shouldn't be afraid to 10 nor should Vice be common occurrences on any of our campuses I know they said that it's going to be maybe another three months or so before we see something with restorative justice but I can't see how this is acceptable to go for another 3 months and I want to know what concrete steps are being taken to stop this from happening because whatever is being done now is not working there were also three periods of Ace grade English this past week with no teacher for 3. The students were on the Super Bowl completely unsupervised and they were sitting outside of their classroom no administrators came to oversee the classes aren't students supposed to be supervised during school hours I also like to know what steps are being can you bring back holder Park and how long that will take this is an essential resource for students who might struggle in a regular High School setting but would benefit from a modified one thank you mistress what I say is after we have all the evidence if you want to respond to any of them or have staff to it and you can obviously the boys if they're not on the agenda and raised and you have another one to come in the room where do you followed by Melissa then Caso Mr Sanders and the suffering but we lost Andy Siegel this week and I wanted to get this out already been done after we adjourn in her memory just as her terribly understaffed in that nursing and she did so much for our kids so it was great to see the presents really classes to me and historically we've had alternatives for placements for them when I started in the 1979 believe it or not we had an alternative high school continuation High School actually started the sunrise high school and its initial place was in that's Auditorium and then now is some of the teachers have said and they moved us to the parking lot in addition to a continuation high school we had at the middle school and opportunity program trying to identify kids for Leon that a large impersonal program was not working and to try to create a smaller and more personalized relationship based on the middle school campus and we had a Community Day School where when treating them the Community Day School also took some of the go to work to disrupt and also some kids were little bit younger too young to come to Fall River Park so you see three placements versus what we have now and the humidity that again yesterday the alternative engine midi some on the committee really want to open call the park and I'm one of them others more interested in maybe we should reduce the credits needed to require to graduate shoes me for students who are vulnerable and that really hurts me I think we want to maintain the Integrity of what a diploma means from Culver City Unified School District of my two cents is Culver partner for the fall decision now so we can the counselor can identify who's going to need it in on August 17th otherwise we'll be right back I think you otherwise I will be right back where we are now is the 81 seniors who help and may not graduate okay so we grounds which candidate Freddy Puzo was illegally electioneering the students on campus during the school day so I read all the material sent out from the school from the district about this and I think everybody agrees that it was wrong I think even pretty cruiser with a girl it was wrong because when he was asked to leave he left so if he was allowed to have been there then he would have stayed so what is the district doing about it on everyone's mind people are also wondering what what is the city doing about it there's a petition to ask city council to agendized direct City staff to to develop more regulations for our local elections you can check that out at Common Sense Culver City. Org the top of the page there's a link that says city council we need better election regulation I also thought it would be useful to read The District board policy 1325 in the section entitled distribution of political materials the schools shall not distribute campaign materials pertaining to a candidate party or ballot measure pan materials shall not be distributed on just property at any time other than at a forum in which candidates or Advocates from all sides have an opportunity to present their views to students during school hours order events scheduled pursuant to the Civic Center Act so straight clear than writing you've never heard me read it aloud and I guess you know this is coming up because we just really need stronger response I think this is a every election is important I don't know if one is important than another but certainly having a response from the district is not helpful at this time thank you so much thank you Miss boccherini good evening I would like to thank dr. tent for her request for an update on the Arts and the programming at the high school and I'm going to apologize to mrs. Nicholson for using one of her comment bring light to something that is common practice at cchs when someone says the Arts the response I was referred to a BPA and CTE and talk the newsletter at the high school only has a link for a baby panceta and not all art classes Papa John's for Visual and Performing Arts it's a core subject abpa is the Academy of visual Performing Arts it's a program it has an application process it has its own booster club or nonprofit what we see Arts programming at the high school as only a Duke npte we do not include drawing and painting art and culture and ceramic students not to mention AP Studio Art that means we do not recognize the 400 or so students who actively participate in the are they just don't pursue a career pathway in the Arts or it's a bit of a pee pee after school one of the most important steps we can do as a school that works towards better equity and inclusion is to start including all our students who participate in the art to make sure all students have equal access to these classes and that we I'm sure they are receiving the support they need when they enroll in the art of their choice thank you very much thank you to remind me we only have a certain amount of time for public comment you're always welcome to send emails and so forth and we took the hands that we had and that's what we decided how many of each person so we're not taking additional people at this time we may be that was everyone up to the that was okay and do you want to you want to respond any of those things as I can because it's not on the agenda if I could be permitted to share. one item and the rest I will have to follow up with her without the speakers and then see if we can address that separately the district is not in the position to support or oppose any candidate on any issues and anything at all Capital High School to do a better job to educate our staff to do a to be much more diligent to to make sure that we do not inadvertently allowed out of sight and Elsa and I'll soon to be the the place or something like that would happen I am not comfortable to go anything beyond that I think we should we should do more to educate our staff and we will support I'm stopping up soon to keep house cool pain-free place in and I'm going to end up here at that point the possible is that we just heard from our second administrators and how excellent the work they're doing is and so I'm pretty certain that we didn't have three English classes that were unsupervised so I'm wondering if you know doctor Baxter, we could communicate correctly about that it sounds like there was a an absence but certainly the students were with a grown up yes we can follow up with the administrators but that is that it is not our understanding of what has occurred right okay thank you all right. Brews on his campaigning on high school grounds but I would like to point out that we had brought to the attention of District administration that there was another candidate that was doing the same thing at back to school night for both Middle School high school and approaching parents on school property and campaigning directly to them and so I'm wondering why we're not seeing that in the same serious lights that we seemed to be doing this. on campus he said he was invited that's what his public comment was I'm not sure about all of the specifics of that but I think that all candidates should know what the parameters are of campaigning and they should know what expected of them and what they can and cannot do in ccusd before they start their campaigning and maybe this is a question of people not realizing what's allowed and not allowed but we can't single out one can get when We Dead another candidate who's running for school board you exactly the same thing I said I wanted to also expressed some concern about what happened at the last board meeting I don't know if the board thinks of it in this way but we as people who are on call or in-person are watching the way the board interacts with each other I was very disappointed at the way the board members were treating each other at the last minute I think it's unconscionable that board members we could not be respectful to each other let each of their colleagues Spanish-speaking finish their thoughts and it was especially concerning to me that this is lectured this is McBride about her having to get on board with the Brookwood presentation and to change her mind I guess about her feelings and her perspective about Brookwood was presenting it's not any board members responsibility to change their mind or perspective to get along with their other board members everybody is entitled to their own opinion and that includes you. This is Amendola so it was very setting to me as someone that was in the audience to see you lecture mrs. McBride in that way the other thing that I would like to bring up is that be as Ace we're very pleased that we were able to negotiate several reclassifications for members of our Union this was back in on October 4th we're looking forward to signing an mou so that the board will be able to approve this and our a who are deserving of the classifications in the first round will be able to see their increasing salaries soon as you possibly can arrange it the other thing that I also wanted to mention list okay well we're talkin about campaigning we have to talk about giving everybody equal time and I've already brought this to the attention of mr. tram I thought that it was unfortunate that we allowed mrs. Laredo to read the Filipino month Proclamation because we've never ever done that before had any private party read a proclamation ran I don't get to read our own Proclamation when it's classified and Teacher Appreciation Week and this seems to be an unusual way to put mrs. Laredo in the spotlight and give her an opportunity to what I considered campaigning in front of everybody that was on Ion I also felt that in doing that we disregarded the fact that it was also disability awareness month and the dead Proclamation was not ready at all because we were giving specific preferential considerations you one Proclamation above another and I don't think that was right that's all that I have for this evening thank you thank you Paganini a thank you to the secondary team for their presentation and we have just greatly appreciated to hear about all the positive things that are happening and wanted us to give a shout out to mod of the newest administrator is called two for the work that she's been doing and a big shout-out to the middle school team because I know it's been tough enough for them this year without a principal and and and you know Patty and John and David and Ingrid all kind of coming together and just kind of getting thank you for that I want to start tonight first with I know 10.3 was told from the agenda tonight about career and college readiness I do want to make these requests I'm Staffing and hopefully the board can support this as well on the original break down there only 5 CTE Pathways it seemed that several CPE Pathways were actually combined was wondering why that was and I'm actually hoping that we have each pathway broken down that we have so we have a number with each pathway that makes it a little bit more accurate, it also would be nice to see some of that other. on Nursery also broken down by pathway as well too I think myself I definitely think a few board members would like to see that as well so I think that would be a good idea to have those kind of breakdowns on when that presentation at the next board meeting I just wanted to give a quick update just on some partnership so I'm gone and met with a couple Partnerships started off actually probably about a month ago just kind of meeting at law of Iona and thank you to doctor God be in the site prep there we kind of talked about some things around the partnership at La bayona Big shout out to the people at El Marino you do El Marino got everything new this year we have new site reps to principal so we had a really nice meeting I first had one with the principal and then we had one with our entire site rib team including we invited back many of our old site wraps I thought it was productive to do that as well and of course at the adult school we had a great time start meeting with our partnership at the adult school as well to so thank you to everyone for those are Partnerships that we're going out next I want to talk a little bit about Culver Park so I'm curious and I don't want to speak with everyone else Dave and I think Athena runs does a good presentation October Park I made a request the last board meeting to have Culver park on the agenda as a standing item and I'm going to make Quest against at Culver park or alternative Ed be on the agenda has a standing item until we get this issue solved are special ed teachers are definitely strong playing right now at the elementary level they need a lot more support we are going to have a meeting in the next week or so with Doctor Fannin and dr. Smith and mr. Tran and if you are special ed teachers we are definitely struggling with AIDS and covering when AIDS are out or when the kids are not sent from the agency and I think in general are special ed teacher are asking for more and more support, more is being dumped in the lap of our special ed teachers it seems like everyday and they are drowning right now in the amount of work that they have to do and we really for some really hopeful that this meeting that we're going to have beyond the next week or two I mean everyone seems very committed to it so I'd like to be able to report back that we had some positive things happening with that including the for me have a special ed subcommittee for the elementary level we did that with secondary last year had some success with it we want to continue that was secondary as well this year but also add Elementary as well as to real quick I want to save the election for last it was interesting about the middle school and Miss McBride it brought this up and Mr Holly I really appreciated that he had talked to people about this and dr. Chapman as well too I'm with places for kids to go after school and I think that's important I want to take it from another perspective opportunities for our staff to put their kids into programs after school we used to have a Wednesday only option at zdnet's no longer available I really want to come in the middle school and the panther Partners there for opening up more Wednesday classes it was just very simple just ask and we get more classes and the Middle School responded very Leanne added some more classes on Wednesdays for our staff but we're still struggling struggling to get access for our staff at schools like Farragut for example where we don't have that same access for our teacher I was trying to find out about the other programs at Cornucopia and things like that are teachers getting access to these after-school programs cuz I feel they should be at they want to do business in our district they should be offering spots to our teachers offer them to go something Wednesday's I finally want to end with the election so I'd want to concur with Debbie I'm on some things I also want to dress some of the comments that were made by p.m. members of the audience and I want to say this I was not appreciative that the event with Mr Kruse that the response was we need to educate our staff better I was not appreciative that wall we should be educating our candidates better why the district calling out Kennedy's that do this thing instead of putting the blame on the staff yes he was allowed to be on campus I don't know what he said to staff I didn't understand it pretty well aware of this I have to stay for ccfp and we've been very very careful about how we approach this campaign unlike the district we're allowed to support candidates okay that's all right we're very careful about how we do that with when it comes to school still at ease and things like that so I would say let's call out candidates that do this versus staff I also concur with Debbie that there's other issues Urban candidates you know parking bikes with signs in front of them in front of the Middle School back to school night and the Latino family and I can't painting that's been by Ben Folds has been going on there as parents are coming into it candidates need to be educated on this this is just not okay all that people are doing it and again I call on the district to call out those candidates I've already reported the issues at the middle school we all know about what happened at the high school and it's time for the district call out the Kennedys on these issues and that's my comments for tonight thank you in the past about including Max as employee groups as well we haven't had a conversation with but what if they have someone tonight I want to see kitties here do you want to speak to mister on Teddy good evening thanks for the opportunity I actually don't have anything to report on Max so thank you thank you Google Ok Google to superintendent report thank you president Levin I have if I'd given the impression that I add call out our staff that is not what I intended to say I think that's a district leadership we must provide our staff with his width of the information so that I was will not inadvertently become a place where I'm painting to take place so I apologize for having given that wrong impression it is not I'll stuff it is us it is estimated it will take a better look at it and protecting a muscle in teacher campaign you shall two things tonight which one is the School site Council training we engage doctor dr. Larson and his team at the beginning of the school year and at this point you would not just training out School Council we are guiding School site Council growth through two processes one is the linking the steps of the school that I was single plan for student achievement with the Alcott plan with the district in the second is the comprehensive School say we plan and at this point both of those are moving forward and our School site Council are functioning and and that I would like to have an opportune sometime in January to bring back to the school site Council to be recognized I bought some more information before coming the second having to do with the inclusion plan we will begin to about implementation of the plan to break it down in to have a larger conversation with all of our leadership and my office would lead our conversation with the support from dr. Tran or superintendent as one of its this what distinguishes educators of the year and Culver City Unified is being recognized for Mister trans work in leading the district especially in regards to the fight against covid 3 rigorous testing vaccine mandate consistent and important information dissemination his parents and families and this distinguished educator honor will be at a dinner on February 10th on the campus at Cal State LA so we're very proud of mr. trench and we were I continue sharing all of this good news and other items that were mentioned and questions that arose just to inform the Board of Education we are having an eel a training for elect members next week also we have been a deal act meeting up coming in in about mid mid to set up mid-november based on input from the deal Act presidents and when they would like to meet and then availability will be made on the off time so it's day all elected morning we'll have at an evening opportunity for infant because it's very important that we are accessible to everyone and the Hellcat application for those who might like to join will be going out in November so that we then can have our first El Cap pack meeting in December thank you thank you mr. Harvey and mr. Tran who let our CC us team 18 and today we raised about $1,850 in honor donating to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention we are still accepting donations I want to share that we have an amazing cleaners team they are outstanding led by director Montes which is who's in the offense in the audience so thank you to the school nurses who have developed a video to educate our community about the fentanyl crisis is being released this week in honor of Red Ribbon Week copy of it will be attached to the Friday memo for you bored it's intended for student and parent populations that are in grades six through 12 and video content they're working on grass documents for the elementary the NOC D levels they will get that out later in the week so that is the good news to share today thank you thank you actually everything I have tonight is about facilities and since we have an agenda item on that coming up I will share it for that time give me the Christmas tree I didn't accept his word starting with Su presented in the Middle School ignoring soon rain happened was last October 12th we had our International walk to school day and we were encouraging students to take three block challenge school and bike walk skateboards go to school to stop the spread of pollution was quite successful in the next walk and rollers. I'll be on November 9th good evening everyone I'm ummul ivcms president and I want to be talking about our next upcoming event that will be this Friday from 4:30 to 6 30 and it is our Haunted Hallway event if you aren't familiar with the Haunted Hallway it is one of our most popular event at CCI mess and it's a dark hallway where is be scared whoever comes into the hallway we started selling tickets yesterday at lunch so today was our second day and we are almost sold out of tickets and this event is open to the public and so our theme this year is clowns with a few references from the it franchise and we will also have a concession stand after you go through the hallway and will be selling candy drinks pizza anymore and then lastly the next event coming up November 2nd we will be tight I'm taking the other los Muertos our dedication that lunch and we would like to make an altar kind of surrounding memories and things that have happened by Panthers following Friday November 10th we will be having a student only movie night and celebration of the other los Muertos and will be watching The Book of Life thank you thank you Huntsville High School so this past Friday October 21st we had senior Sunrise a really good time and it was overall just a really good success during fourth. We had our wheelchair basketball game for disability awareness month which was very successful I'd like the kids actually like took a lot from it and then also on Friday we had our pink out which was for the football game we had a great turnout and it was productive awareness month when this Monday we had our blood drive our goal is 60 pints and we exceeded that boat is 59 times so definitely good success and then lastly I have my first house of reps meeting this past Tuesday and bananas going to talk more about the student concerns brought up as students have seen cockroaches in classrooms they have a little bit concerned about that but I already talked to dr. Cooper and and she said she's going to be checking dad with I'm in Australian custodians administrators also trying to enforce the use of virtual ID manga but it's not actually really working out because there's really a lot of blockage between the internet and the reception at school so they have those in love voice Talent so I don't know how is that going towards bathrooms are being closer and fish and 6. Apparently they're not I talked about it with us are Cooper and a since they're not maybe there's some issues too. in fact she said that whenever the happens he's going to try to have some type of sign on the bathrooms doors since there is no they respond for the bathrooms being close to being way too full and their smell really bad she also said she's going to try to check out with the custodians and janitors what's going on with that and when they're not being clean and getting on students lockers annoying in their books so they also trying to figure out how to fix that's a lie. The Cooper do you know about it and she said that she's going to try to see what's going on with that too first call bathrooms not being clean you can see urine and faeces sometimes into the bathroom also going to try to see what's going on with the custodians and why it's nothing being done yet there's the problem we did lunch for seniors to be able to go out because apparently Juniors and sophomores are trying to get out too as well and just using fake IDs and pictures so then because he's not. I will check in at some dr. Cooper said that right now that's why she's going to try to have two security guards down in the door to stop past made for going out and I can either come by seniors she said after. and she's going to try to use it the utilizing mingua more Social Security only text and can't stay page but like once again I don't know how it's going to work because of the internet as soon as I'm not able to load the page cool so I don't know how I said so in about the adult school from students who are attending and apparently the teacher has given missing formations are students and they only need to attend to the times a week from 2 to 4 hours a day which is apparently is wrong as soon as me to attend before days one to two hours each day parents have been getting emails about so as not attending this adult school and getting in trouble because of an I talked about it without the Cooper she said she's going to try to talk to the doctors having and try to figure out going on to see why there's misinformation given to students and tender nails are ball joints are also being closed again apparently it's because it's inside vandalizing them we are trying to figure out ways to communicate students to inform them to stop vandalizing school property because people age for them to have that's just like the hygiene dispensers and girls bathroom also not working anymore they being with a boy King likes for two weeks already and o l g b t q lockers lgbtq students are not able to change that the lockers because they're not able to use their own they're worse it was supposed to be given to them so I can Cooper said she's going to try to talk to him he speak about it and try to figure out find find a place for students to feel comfortable and change we talked about again about to get it guys going into bathroom without a nose to announcing themselves apparently it might be for some reason that they see or smell something I'm supposed to be going on in the bathroom but many students keep saying that they should at least let them know before going to the bathroom because it makes them uncomfortable I just saying that's all thank you thank you the Texas to members of the board thanks for the update I have a question have the student council meetings with the superintendent started are they consistently happening because while I appreciate this coming to the board it would be great if there was an opportunity is to be shared with those meetings or have they started and then from that point on selection of the student advisory Council to the will be functioning okay we want you to be able to give this information in a timely manner to the who can actually address though and so thank you for that I appreciate it I'm going to start by wishing everyone who is celebrating in our community a happy and prosperous Diwali last Sunday I attended the ABP a fall concert and it's not it's it's promoted as a CPA but not everyone who participated and performed and it is abpa there was marching band which is concert band during the performances a bunch of different bunch of different ensembles but it was a really great performance and I appreciate that they also had a fall festival for kids could come and dressed up in the band different ensembles were also costume it was a lot of fun I want to have a few requests I just want clarification on mr. longsworth West End Baxter just stepped outside just for clarification when the College and Career Readiness presentation is brought back we will have that data disaggregated by the individual Pathways instead of them group dubbed is that it will be done that way. That was one of the desired outcome that we will be presented to the board in December best attached are will look different when it's broke will look drastically different okay and then I don't know if you need this doctor 11 but I am a nodding head for coldbrook Park to be standing agenda item and I know we've discussed this but I just to be a plus one for standing items and and I know we have a place for future agenda items at the end of the meeting but part of my report because I just wanted to elevate some concerns that I have right now it's not just a request to have things agendize but it's concerned about us being in November and some almost in November and some of these things not being addressed I would love to request a workshop about inclusion sometime this semester there I've attended a couple Desi meetings at casino site Daisy meetings this week. I see meetings and hearing the same questions over and over again and even if we don't know exactly what the plan for inclusion will look like right now it would be great if the board cabinet and the community can have one place where we can come together and ask questions gather information so that we're all on the same page moving forward and if sometime this semester that would be great because we our families were waiting with bated breath to find out who what is the plan and how their students will be served so I would appreciate that and then the high school brought up and high school and middle school talks about our partners what new words and we know the contract was approved a while ago it's a big contract and I would love for us to in an infant item have some data on how many students are being served right now they are being supported how often we tracking those outcomes and how are they working in collaboration with our counseling staff so that our students first encounter is still through our staff and then house ring supported with that warm handoff to New Earth that's all I have right now thank you sure thank you a couple things so just I really want to reiterate that my visits to the high school have been super informative and positive I've learned a great deal and I feel very I don't affirmed and optimistic about the work at the high school is doing and I appreciate the culture around classroom observations and I would like to see that grow I hope board members will be invited in the future and we will be invited to do so at other sites and I want to talk about also attending the disability advisory committee meeting this past week and just appreciating doctor fan roll and how transparent and available and responsive doctor Fannin is engaging our families and I know that that is super important to them and really valuable and I agree let me still have many unanswered questions and that I am also eager to have an understanding of our plan and so I would love to see I think mister train you already spoke to having a standing item on inclusion on the agenda so I would like it. I think it's a great idea and the workshop could be additional I am not certain I'll let you figure out what's best on that but yeah I know that the community as well why is it sounds like multiple board members are eager to hear back on our contracts for inclusion Consultants as well as our plans for training this year at all sites and regarding the alternative Ed standing I am in favor of that I think alternative Ed is the larger umbrella because I have wider questions than just about over park so we could hear back but if we could continue that as an ongoing conversation for now I think it would be great because in addition to serving kids who in an ongoing manner may need alternative option in general like it High School you know I'm into perpetuity there is also the pressing issue of post covid and how we're serving our students in this moment and so I think if it could be an alternative Ed I'm very in favor of that and and yet another last one on the when the College and Career Readiness presentation comes back if it could also have the racial and ethnic demographic breakdowns by gender I think that would help but maybe already plans for that and then since the we didn't get an opportunity to hear about all of our Arts programming tonight but it's such an important feature of our secondary work as well as Elementary but really importantly 6 to 12 maybe I could just go ahead and request that we have them follow up presentation to that effect on all of our arts and I'll bring it up again when we talk about future agenda items those are my comments thank you June 7th I asked I wish I would have said this one the administer site administrators for here from high school I really did appreciate you coming to the school site and watching the teachers do their craft and students learn and I'm looking forward to more opportunities to see more more classrooms and observation I have started also meeting with that far I've had a meeting with human resource assistant superintendent we had a great discussion and the discussion was around bilingual preferred on their job description and shared some research around the benefits to our English language Learners assistant superintendent talk about ambition of the advisory Council thank you so much I really do appreciate these meetings to especially these both of these members are new to our Rick and dr. Baxter your next so I just wanted to say I'm looking forward to that I'll send an email I want to thank Survivor Twins and my polygons Miss McBride because together we have together the sending a genda on facilities and that is the type of work that I really appreciate on break I do have work with Dr remoting you missed my Brides to we came together we talked we discuss what our shared values what are the Bernie's that we as a board are looking forward to and we sent that information to mr. Quinn and and now we have a website and we're going to be discussing facilities in the Jen on regular base and I think the website it's really going to facilitate understanding the progress of these different projects and I'm also a plus one for alternative education and I feel it's really important for us to feed remembering that our students were you know almost 2 years and social isolation and learning the resume and csba email about the the the learning loss that happened during that period and probably true it is for us to provide the support that our students need now more than ever and it shows and demonstrated this is what we need to do then I'm a blessed one for that I'm also a plus one for our new birth learning more of some of those outcomes metric Services I saw that there was a TV is New Bern events that happened with a band the newsletter so like to learn a little bit more like how that is connected to yours and I also want to make the connection in public between New Birth and support the students who are in credit deficient and credit to graduate until like 2 when the presentation on you and alternative education how old are how these two things can work together to support the students because I think new order that has the ability to provide support somebody and that is all I want to talk about today and thank you so much for the opportunity to be here say what you want I am feeling very blessed to be here in person and in good health and I'm grateful that we're going to end our meeting with Sandy seagull in the memory of Sandy seagull issue it to me are they repeating things my colleagues have said keep this place I just want to respond to one is from you mr. Tran you were talking I think it was in regard to a conclusion about putting eyes is on the agenda and the permission of the board and so forth I just want to make sure our process is Supernanny on the board president weather in what items you don't need the permission of the board but I can look at it and say what we want to buy the Jennifer's meeting you are so if you want something to be a regular item on the agenda put on the agenda every time and the other thing I wanted to respond to which I what on our agenda but I don't think I'm violating the brown act because how we talk to each other is part of every agenda and I want to respond to the comments from people about how we interact with each other so I guess this is really addressed to my fellow board members only been a few times where I've looked back for beating and been upset myself about in terms of what I did and they have always been when I lost my temper so to the extent that I was responsible for some of the I apologize to all of you and attempt to do better I think we all well it was after all a long meeting internet Monday morning to maintain your equilibrium but that's part of the job and I guess I will be better on that note can we make that 5 minutes love to have some thank you so I didn't 25 will come back at 8:35 are we ready to go you're up to information items and item is 10.2 compensation report members of the board of education for that we picked out every year showing the expenditure paid out behalf of each board member for the last fiscal year in the informations pretty self-explanatory any questions or comments from members of the audience were members of the board icing hands I'm trying to open it always look at this and I'm just curious and maybe I need to have a meeting with your staff how we get like it says statutory benefits is that the stipend that we get every month are the extra mounts that the district has to pay based on your stipend like Social Security and I'd like would come out of a paycheck and so in the previous table that I saw last year it actually said what our stipend was okay but that's that is year-to-date because I do not get 3400 a month and I don't want me to really outline that because I just don't want the public to believe that we get the benefits and all this money when we we really really little and an I still trying to figure out why certain board members get more than other son get it to 60 like me some others get 400 and I'm just is 8 years in service if you're getting a different net amount or something like that but you all get the same grow some okay so I'm going to borrow 10 11 and see because it's a very different I mean I can I can imagine that I have almost $200 a withholding because that would like to see that column says like this board member at Missoula gets per month and and I think this is we owe it to the community to know exactly how much money each of us are getting for our volunteer work that you know amount of money we're getting for our work here okay we on to the next item Texas 2024 and was originally to put together like a report with all the information and it just it wasn't pretty it wasn't looking good it wasn't easy to maintain so that had the idea about a week and a half ago that put it on the website so that's what again so it's not a normal presentation at the website so I appreciate Miss Williams cooperation here because we each have to broadcast it let me pull it up on Zoom okay so on our main website now this is the homepage we put this little blue over here to the right now she's already there there's a balloon that says silly project so we're going to go there and start with our facility projects update that's the main page right there just a little brief introduction of what we're talking about and I did that a couple links over there on the left 2 2014 measure c c facility bond that was 106 million dollar bond that has been fully expended at this point and then below that I put a link to the recent 2019 ccusd facilities master plan so if anybody I want to visit that as part of this summer you can do that from the one thing I haven't yet put on that page that I need to add a contact form so that anyone staff student Community can contact us contact me and say Hey I what about this so I found this issue or I have this picture and hear something we'd like taking care of so I'm going to add that contact information silver on the right you have just to call him if everything and under project summary that's the board static report I had originally started putting together so it's just a list of every project that we have going on so far with an estimated cost and timeline and notes just really static I keep that update it on the backend and I'll try to upload it on a other basis so we can keep things track. The bottom and has the total estimated cost of what we're looking at so far and everything on this list you can see it's about thirty one and a half million dollars Chelsea close that window and go back the facility project below. There's a budget summary this one shows the breakdown of all our various facility funds and how much money we have in them at the current point the three main funds we use our 25 35 and 40 and you can read the description of each one of them over to the right I included our projected revenue from our DEA and developer fees for this coming through this current fiscal year of about 3 million dollars we have a potential grant money from the Cheech a classroom project is it in there and then we have money that was donated to us by the Goodyear estate and I'm including that in there because those projects are also on the project list and their cost is included so you can see just now so far 2.87 million dollars in our facility fund to find anything further there are a few projects on the list that I haven't put a cost on nothing major so that's pretty much going to be the number that we're looking at going forward to this year how is that will make sure to keep that one updated so we can just take it out of
