The Summer 2017 Projects include the following scope of work:

  • HVAC Project
    This project is to add new HVAC to the two-story classroom building.
  • Marquees
    This project will be to add a new Digital Marquee at schools that do not currently have them.
  • Hydration Stations
    This project is to add various Hydration Stations to the campus.
  • "Maker Space" Classroom Tenant Improvements
    This project is to modernize a classroom building to be used as a maker space for future classes.

The Energy Conservation Program (Proposition 39) includes the following scope of work:

  • Installation of new high efficiency HVAC units
  • Upgrading of interior & exterior LED Lighting
  • Installation of dual technology occupancy sensors
  • Installation of smart programmable thermostats
  • Integration of occupancy sensors

The Phase I Projects includes the following scope of work:

  • Landscaping
    Relandscape the court yard and building frontage.  This project is complete.
  • Exterior Painting
    The exterior of the school other than the brick walls will be painted in the new school colors.  This project is complete.
  • New Playgrounds
    The playground improvement project at La Ballona Elementary School includes the installation of new playground surfaces and equipment for both kindergarten and elementary school children. The new play equipment will provide a number of age-appropriate activities including elevated platforms and slides. Shade canopies will also be provided and will be integrated with the play equipment. New color-matching rubber play surfaces will also be installed to provide fall protection in compliance with current safety guidelines.  This project is complete, except the restriping of the parking lot to provide additional accessible parking spaces.
  • New Bicycle & Skateboard Racks
    This project includes the installation of new bicycle and skateboard racks throughout the campus and has been completed.
  • Replace 2nd Floor Deck Waterproofing
    The existing deteriorated exterior decks at the second story of the newer two story building will have a new waterproof surface installed.  This project is complete.
