Special Education District Advisory Committee

What is the DAC?
The DAC provides a forum for parents of students with special needs, district representatives, and community members to work collaboratively in addressing district-wide issues and concerns.  Additionally, the DAC sponsors educational events and workshops for parents and community members on Special Education related topics.

Who is on the DAC?
The DAC has diverse community membership that consists of parents of students with special needs, district representatives, with equitable representation from all school sites.

Where does the DAC meet?
In the past, DAC meetings have been held in the Board Room at the Culver City Unified District office. However, out of an abundance of caution, as a result of safety precautions stemming from concerns over COVID19, we will continue to hold DAC meetings virtually during the 2021-22 school years unless and until you hear otherwise to ensure our families' and staff members' health and safety!

When does the DAC meet?
The 2021-22 schedule of DAC meetings will be added to the website shortly.

What is discussed at the DAC meetings?
Plans for inclusion, increased diversification of instruction and hiring, ideas for professional development, how best to support the students and the district, and much, much, more. Please contact [email protected] if you'd like to join us!
