Shannon's here to get us a few chips on our for ride all the reasons we ride play I ride my bike all the time I ride my bike more than I drive my car can you believe that I don't like being my car so I know every time I get in the car I'm loading the Earth and I'm wasting money using gas and I'm on my bike I get to save all that stuff and be healthy in the process it's not great we all want to do that more often right who walked or bike to school today all he raise your hands and really high really high yeah that's great we call you guys are walking rollers that's why we're called Walking always Could You Walk and Roll to school and you all can be walking rollers just ask your parents if you can walk or bike the school the future and don't even have to be all the way from your house you can even Park just Roblox away walk the rest and you're still helping clean the environment a ride to everyone go to make a really good effort for that but always when you're on your bike or your skateboards are your scooters you got to be safe wear your helmet every time right we don't want any crushed watermelon head and on your roller skates to absolutely you want make sure you wear bright clothing so cars can see you make sure you have lights and reflectors all of your bikes in your easily seen out there okay guys be safe out there have fun be clean and safety environment Jim Shannon of Culver City Wok and Roll there's a big round of applause R5 let us know with the messages just because other people buy things that can't be recycled doesn't mean you have to we should stop and we think in order to make the best possible choices for our friends family school Community if you see something that is wasteful polluting or unhealthy it is good to ask why but by doing this we can make positive changes for everyone and the Earth excellent give her a round of applause for that one so we're going to be rethinking everybody let's do our chat one more time everybody together together the environment and create a sustainable plastic job at skid are green five liters and nother Round of Applause what's recyclable what goes to the landfill and what compostable packaging that we cannot recycle or compost or things like Styrofoam let's try to avoid these things aright and also metallic packaging and crinkly packaging so we're going to hold these things up like chip bags granola that sound like that that's the landfill test just put it up to your ear and and crank lit up and guess what I'll have to go to landfill so we're going to do our very best yeah where did this go by the way what color is the trash can that's right the landfill the landfill black been that's right very good job yes I'll include Capri Suns and most is a lot of juice boxes chip bags as I said they go straight to the landfill we're all those resources does are sadly Loft and create greenhouse gases that are dangerous for environment so we're going to reduce those what Packaging so now recyclables recyclables now if not Booey gooey or chewy we put recyclables Plastics like bottles like containers like cans metal cans aluminum where do those go yes that's correct the blue recycling bin that's right it is stick them right in there nothing we do into a mountain by the way a little bit it's okay you don't have to like go to the bathroom and wash it out if there's a little bit that is okay alright so we don't need to get too crazy about them being clean but if you have yes and by the way yes look at that where do those go in the blue band that's right recite what if there's like a ton of cheese hanging off of that what you going to do about that well maybe probably just eat the cheese if it's your cheese just finish it up and then stick it in the Blue Van okay alright and then you haven't it's okay if you had a ton of yogurt what are you going to do if they're still yogurt in your container what you going to do about it that's the first thing yes please just eat it as much as you can then put it in the blue van if there's just tons of it you just ran out of time you can't eat it there's nothing else to do then where does it go it's going to have to go to so let's just try to avoid that as much as we can excellent now so plastic containers all those things plastic metal last card clean paper newspapers even paper that has you no scribble on it and colors and all that where does that go that's right you guys are sharp you got a lot of sharp Farragut foxes out here okay now I have my coach here. Mr. Todd Johnson here you talk to us a little bit about compost that goes to the green bit new to revive your body if you more energy and everything will guess what the dirt needs more energy to so you have to feed the dirt and where do we get the food play the dirt how cool is that who's been to the Garden back here anybody everybody's been in the garden creek so you notice there's dirt the plants grow in so we are going to be making dirt we will make it here with send it away and then comes back as dirt putting everything in the compost bin so anything that was food we can compost it but we have a super duper compost system play what you have at home because the one that we have here you can put things like the trays you know these trees that you have there don't you can go in the compost bin to you can't do that home but you can do it here and you know the milk cartons that you have Turkish hit compost bees at home but it's cool you can but you eaten still have some food left in it to most of the stuff that you've got when you're going to be at lunch can go in there so when you're in the lunch line you just start here it's landfill been just a couple little things are going to go into the landfill the crinkly things you know what your member if you put it in your mouth and make so not your mouth right put in your ear volume down then it goes into the landfill bit but not too much you are then you got a couple of things like everything else oh yeah Dawkins paper towels fruit all that going to eat it as much as you can but if there's something left you can put it in there alright let's give it up for mr. Todd Johnson let's do our chat one more time everybody together together help the environment and create a sustainable Community fantastic job of our green 5l another round of applause
