continue without interruption now is the time to put together your plan of action to ensure that you are not caught short by the pandemic flu or any widespread the first step is to identify the critical on your staff who have the skills essential to keep your school operating try to think of the there may be no substitutes but who have responsibilities that must be done some of these people may include the plant manager cafeteria manager school administrative assistant administrators coordinators even the athletic director if any of these people were out sick for 3 weeks straight what would you do okay before you start to panic let me help you better prepare your school let's start off by setting up a plan in case the plant manager is first you need to select someone possibly on your staff that can fill the position while the plant manager is out have their contact in Nation available and updated  have your current plant manager write a daily schedule of what tasks need to be done by certain time in order for the school run smoothly know what specific needs to have to accomplish these daily tasks make sure you have access to these keys be sure to document any special or plant managers and all custodial staff at each school when there are absences the daily assignments can be modified to sure that priority tasks affecting the health and safety of students are dressed worker they may be asked to fill or maybe someone else on your cafeteria staff you need to know who that person could be do you have their contact information if you do not have a senior lower Chris one from another school may be assigned to assist you be sure to provide the person with a copy of your school schedule and Foodservice protocols I need the keys to your freezer and storeroom it is important to work at their cafeteria manager and area food service director now to establish a plan for your school another key person in the main office of every school is a Schools administrative assistant this person is responsible for critical School functions such as payroll Supply orders and tracking Keys some of these functions require special training Keys combinations and passwords you need to prepare backup plan for all the critical tasks that are being done by the school administrative assistant find out who else has been to pause the combination to the school safe it may be
