Culver City Unified School District's Board of Education received data from a recently-completed, comprehensive school facility assessment at its May 14th public meeting. A representative from the global construction management firm, Balfour-Beatty, presented a summary of the school facility assessment. The results of the facility assessment will drive the creation of a Master Facility Plan as well as the adoption of Common Core Facility Standards throughout the District. Ultimately, this document will become the blue print for future modernization and upgrade projects.

Currently, our District is in the midst of a variety of capital improvement projects, including a feasibility study addressing the needs and priorities for Robert Frost Auditorium, extensive upgrades to our Culver City High School athletic stadium, as well as a significant solar power project. The CCUSD Board of Education is currently developing a strategy to address our many facility modernization needs. Community stakeholders, teachers, parents and professionals in the construction industry will continue to provide input as to how the District should proceed with a shared vision for facilities that provide the educational opportunities our students require for success in the 21st century.
