garden and I'm sure if the bicycle pedestrian advisory committee thank you I'm I'm just started recording I hope that's okay with everyone Dennis you want to say hi yes hello ruined my name is Genesis Amaya and I'm a freshman attending Culver City High School and you're part of which group has where club that combats climate change through political a all right who else do we have Jeffrey I don't know if you're here yet Joanna do you want to say hi. So I have to join a brody you want to go first I was the first Lynn how Joanna and then she wanna I'm sorry if I'm not pronouncing it right and thank you so much let me just send this to Kelly recant there we go sowa Tom and who's joining us today sorry it's Ashley from recycle the riches oh hi how are you how are you I am the President of recycle to riches it's a 501 c 3 here in Los Angeles and we are changing the culture of consumption excellent so I think I'm Alison I don't know if you're still at work if she will now I'm in the car so that I can speak and yeah I'm up here until Rincon and I'm part of the Green Team committee there so we run the green ambassador program that's largely modeled on the one that was the at my house and I'm just here to listen and learn that's great thank you so much all right all right I'm going to share my screen and we'll take a look at what we're doing today hair we go so good introductions and we're going to get an update on grades of green with Robin and hopefully some of the students I'm not sure if they made it and we have two featured guests that are so their suits Louis Yuen and Charlie Kistler and they are here to present their startup Environmental Education company called Infinity 8 and to share about their first ebook Noella and Vine education science Comics volume 1 then we'll share our progress report on our different initiatives will share about our gardening day March 4th it's a two-part event so looking forward to show nut we had meetings with two new subcommittee so we'll give you an update on that we're preparing the Earth Fest week this year we just had a meeting on that so give me an update and then are green tips this month are about by nothing and building community and then we'll open up the discussion to see how we can help you and what you're working on grades of green if you would like to currently I'm not sure if any of the students are here yet let's go Adria was here how about we introduced the few new guests Adriel do you want to say hi hi unit sure what group you're in what grade to doing a project for grades of green I believe Robin Murphy's here she's mine like I guess Helper and what grade are you in atrium an acre age grade Michelle do you want to say hello Michelle Winer oh I went already Jeffrey I think I missed you the first round from here thank you and Kelly Kent is here everyone I'm Kellie Kent I'm on the school board and yeah I was in a different room and I thought I saw Adriel in there but I see Adriel is here so oh good okay thank you sorry about that Kathy you want to say hello Kathy Vargas I'm part of the environment programs in Operations Division and I'm here it support you guys and supports Tangerine so however I can help thank you Kathy and Rania are you have you joined us hi so I'm running a stop. the mother of a child in high school and I am a professor of Environmental Health at Cal State Northridge Cal State University Northridge so I'm happy to support and help in any way I and do you know thank you I failed to mention that I have a high schooler also in 11th grade I'm a bad mom anyways so let's see we will be sharing now grades of green can Robins are you going to share your screen or you just going to chat I can yes anything to show shirt wonderful thank you like to start off in just tell you a little bit about the program and then I'll let after Adderall speak to his project and then if either of the other students hop on they can talk about their projects otherwise I would be happy to so we are grades of green we are nonprofit organization that's been around since 2010 we started in the South Bay working with students and now have expanded worldwide but we still have a big core of our students in the southern Calif Anya and Los Angeles area and how we work with students right now is through our campaign programs so we have year-long campaigns where we invite student teams to learn about different issues and take on a project improve the environment so this year we are doing the climate Solutions campaign so all of our campaign teams are focusing on local climate Solutions in their Community all of the teams at the beginning of the year we're giving an over U of the major topics that contribute to climate change and asked to pick one of those topics so all of our teams are picking from either waste Transportation energy food or trees they learn atopic and then they decide they are asked to develop a project around that topic in their community so this year were very lucky to be working with three teams from Culver City we have two teams at the high school the biota creek Renaissance club and the sophomore class club and then we are also working again with Adriel and his team from Culver City Middle School and he joined us last year for our plastic reduction campaign so this year the Culver City teams that both of the high school teams chose to take on the topic of waste time and middle school team is chosen to take off topic of food and so quickly is Andre and I don't think either of the girls from the high school have dried up a perfect so then I'll just run through their projects really quick so it is it's a my face program is a set in Phase 1 all of the teams learn about the topics Phase 2 they pick a project-based 3 we take them through some project building skills and marketing and help them plan out their project in face for they take action and then in face by if they get to analyze their metrics report back to grades of green and ultimately it is a contest so we have a panel of environmental judges that analyzed other projects at the end of the year in a word Eco grants for a top-10 so the to Culver City High School teams we have the bionic Creek Renaissance team like I said they're taking on the topic of waste and are focusing on single-use Plastics so they've partnered with the surfer the local Surf Rider Foundation and they're ocean friendly restaurants program so they are going out to different local restaurants and telling the restaurant about the Surf Riders ocean friendly restaurants program and this is a program that restaurants can join they need they need pledge to take certain actions in order to reduce their carbon footprint and a lot of that has to do with reducing single-use Plastics investing in more sustainable packaging, things of that nature and so the bionic Creek rentals team is fundraising to help restaurants cover the cost of these changes that they'll be making an order to qualify to be in this ocean friendly restaurants program and they're going out and they're getting different restaurants to join the program so that's a really funny our friend project and then the Culver City High School sophomore class again is taking on the topic of waste and they chose to focus on plastic bags I'm sure most of you know that plastic bags are not about to be recycled conventionally and our curbside recycling and when schools are in session it's one of the things that we see a lot in school waist is so they've chosen to take on this topic and they are partnering with a company called treks and tracks is a company that actually collects plastic bags clean dry plastic bags and recycles them into park benches which is really cool they are going to be setting up some recycling stations where people can drop off their clean dry plastic bags when schools are back on campus then they'll be setting up some stations first at the high school and then they're hoping to expand it expanded district-wise where students can use that the stations to recycle their plastic bags and then Trex also has a type of contest where the schools that are able to collect the most plastic bags qualify to receive give one of those park benches that are made out of the plastic bags which is really cool and then I'm going to let Adriel speak to his project since I'm sure can you do a better job explaining at then I do so me and one of the sorry okay so 4 my project me and one other student from CCMS we chose the topic of food waste so our project was basically to go around and contact all major grocery stores in Culver City and develop a grading system on what they do to reduce food waste diverted to nonprofits so that would basically encourage those grocery stores to saved reduce food waste and they could use it as a marketing tool it could bring customers from that normally would go to Albertsons and they'll bring him to Vons so yeah they could post that grade in the front of their store and hopefully you know this is food waste and they get some more customers so how many of the stores are involved at least a dozen about a dozen can you created your own grading system finding out exactly what we're going to put on there yeah amazing Robin you must be very proud of all these students I am I mean all of the sins we work with are so inspiring but the Culver City students this year have really stepped up and done some really creative and very ambitious project so it's been really great to work with them all thanks so much for sharing I really appreciate that Robin if you have to go no problem but if you want to stick around for the guest speakers where is best for you so I'm pleased to present our guest speakers Charlie Kistler and Lewis you and that have developed this new character Noella and it's all based on Environmental Haitian for the elementary students but I will let them share the details thanks thank you share my screen not working yeah so yeah I listen really happy that we get to talk to you guys about this all right so our company is Infiniti a Productions and we make Environmental Education media so I was just published back at beginning of December that's called Noella Environmental Education science Comics volume 1 and then I'm going to highlight I don't know maybe some password where we could collaborate with the Culver City School District so before I get into the book I want to introduce you to our team which Louis human and myself so to do that and go back to 2008 when Louis was working as an architect managing projects for hotels in Port venues around Los Angeles but then work was interrupted by went to film school and that's what he said in screenwriting is he calling me stabilized went back into architecture it was actually there where he kind of realize the kind of sheer amount of waste being generated a lot of stuff like basically the big things with the climate crisis while he's working on a project for the Shanghai Disneyland in China that kind of bird like a big interest in environmental issues for Lewis and so he started primarily working on light green architecture but still want to do more so that's one of the thoughts are like Leverage is screenwriting an environmental education for kids it took the next few years to flush out like the characters for his stories and in 2019 Louis which completely from architecture at animation and that's when like you founded Infinity a Productions and went all out into that after myself I've long been interested in kids education I need to talk to you about a Space and Science Center in Oakland going to post lacrosse and call Jose camp counselor was involved in the program to add to college I haven't even started for a little bit and Sun Valley but as for the science graduate with a biology degree and worked as an infectious disease researcher in Wyoming oncology startup in the Bay Area so I'm at Louis a couple years ago when I was at business school at UCLA and I was just instantly drawn to his projects We join forces and our partnership began like in Earnest late last year so now the kind of explain a little bit about us going to come to talk about some of the benefits of Environmental Education like why it's so important I'm sure a lot of you are aware of all this but just do another reinforce it like play Gaia Environmental Education really environment with knowledge is just the tip of the iceberg so what do I mean by that I guess students like they're definitely in more likely to be conscious of their effect on the environment but that's not all there so many other benefits from apartment before I really get too deep into that I'm going to provide a little bit of context we're like this information is kind of coming from so a lot of it is based on a Stanford study that analyzed over a hundred Environmental Education programs they actually saw benefits in academic social and emotional areas so in academics I mean obviously likes to improved in math and science but they also showed and it like expanded capacity for critical thinking and decision-making in MO Larry has a students became better leaders and teammates and then finally in the social areas students were like more inclined towards feelings of civic responsibility and they actually felt empowered actually help make a difference in the community which I mean that's great so like three and four said there was no 98% of Environmental Education programs a positive benefit so annoying all that it really kind of reinforced our desire to get into Environmental are you not going to transition a little bit and talk about the actual book so broadly it's a collection of comics and used comic is based on a specific University study specific paper so I guess why why Comics what we think that comments are like an excellent storytelling vehicle especially for young kids they're extremely flexible and they provide like a visual context eye with verbal cues that makes them I'm really easy to understand by a lot of different levels of reader also other composer panels so that really helped us by focus on really the critical things and also really make dialogue easy to can so the other can I get the girl Noella is that the stories are like directly tied to a university research article so we think that's important for a number of reasons and mainly it's like we want to ensure the reliability of information that's in the book when we looked like researchers on the front line find the prices were able to like touch on many different topics and we can be confident that the information is actually an accurate reading that you do in the in the first version We Touch on microplastics Renewables nuclear energy keystone species carbon sinks and urban planning to end the papers were the universe is stronger the press releases they're all from you can see the universities on the cover right there so now I'm going to give you like 10 to 15 seconds to kind of look one of our excerpts from the chapter on carbon sinks little sip of all right so moving on I got a double little bit deeper into like how we actually get the message across and you probably saw a few of those to you these techniques on the last page but we mainly on three things which is luminizing and we actually we have really accessible citations so the first one anthropomorphism is giving human characteristics like human things we think that that's the next powerful tool and Environmental Education and we think that because it like completely plays into the concept of stakeholders all all life on the planet is affected by the health of the environment and animals and plants like they have no voice of Their Own so that's why we get them one we think that this kind of we think it gives a little bit more perspective about how plants animals might feel as they see humans pollute the environment do for laymen izing if you read scientific research probably know that they're not always like the easiest to understand and penetrate so we think that way man dies in really does help facilitate the learning process so when we do this if you're important that we don't like bring it down too far or else I will lose the message of the original so that's one of the ways we do this is through this visual dictionary of sorts and you can see a couple examples from that visual dictionary right here about the ecosystem in the carbon sink and then finally we recognize that I like still some people might want to go back and see the original article we should we set out of being kids like the eventually bring it to their parents for like help further understanding or what-have-you that's why we provide citations to the Articles and press releases and I'll show you an example of one of her citation Pages here in a sec but we think that the level of transparency is really critical because it again and how it helps ensure that we get the messenger cross and also there's like so much in misinformation in like I guess environmental news and stuff these days do you think actually having the source is right there is super important and it really helps like navigate potential push back from potential to say about are citations I never seen academic citation presenting such a friendly act as form of any man here is one of those citation pages that I was kind of talking about end that deck QR code at the bottom it's just like usually scannable with a smartphone all right so that is Noella so now I want to come and talk to you briefly about potential opportunities that weekend to see there's a moving forward with the Culver City school district has first off that we can really play directly into the sustainability mission of the Culver City School District especially the first goal which is to build awareness and then we also believe it there's potentially a clear path forward to synergize with green ambassadors and I'll be happy to dive deeper the program like a different a different time we want to inspire students and that's why we also think it would be exciting to give sensation in a future Comics Culver City whether that be like a whole school is Pacific student a class we're going to happy to hammer out the details just a little anecdote in the Bay Area and I remember in Pixar movies I see like little local things all over the place I'm a little bit more excited finally prepared to offer like a financial incentive by discount code like ccusd or cold or something that could not the price up by like 30% or so like again that's what's going to be happy to work that you guys yeah before before we take questions I just want to kind of reinforced at that this book is just the first volume and we will be producing more so we're already in the works on like a second I said I like a second thought collection lb more centered around Lake Aquatic climate issues like rising sea levels we also have one about like invasive species being released this one specifically like the Reds red snapper turtle with the and then we set of plans to publish down the line volume on light green entrepreneurs or creating like groundbreaking like Technologies and solutions and we will help save the world outside the project that's kind of gathering some steam to that's called space it's also highly anthropomorphised and it's focused on issues in Aerospace and we believe that that one will start as a solid compliments and it while I'm moving for ya so thanks that's where I'm going to I introduce yourself Yarbrough from the middle school that teach 6th and 7th grade science this year and I have a garden that's dying and everybody's telling me how hard looks so I'm hoping we get to go back really soon and put some life back into the garden wonderful thank you I'll run you raised your hand yeah I want to say thank you for be that this presentation I think it's really fascinating I'm an educated but I totally am so you know how we have three children by the time they come to the students in high school get introduced by koorsen environmental health and they go oh my gosh why did I not know about this why didn't anybody tell me this thing existed and then they switched Majors so so nice that we're introducing the children to the concept at an early stage because totally can be a way of life if you know not just a field of study just the way of life we don't have to wait to college to get that into some of them and most of everybody else is missed out so what I want to say some and then I have a question just to add to the fact that you guys based your book so on science and peer-reviewed literature is not from my perspective of us in the field of environmental health the very science grounded discipline when we move away from science is when we've had problems obviously and so the fact that you are attaching the word science and the fan that is based on science is so true to the discipline and I just want to say thank you for that you know our discipline our students are grounded in biology chemistry physics and Mathematics and that you guys are bringing that from the restart is really cool so I just want to say thank you for that part and then I was wondering if the district was interested or you teachers were interested you know are you open to sharing having copies go around any piloting you know as an instructor myself I know I always appreciated won Publishers come to us with us with options for us to explore the book or try it out or put it out there in our hands as teachers and you open to that show how do you do that into what degree are you willing to allow the district to do that yeah I definitely owe you go ahead trials they're going to be doing that with the Chabot Space and Science Center mentioned earlier grab like a giveaway with them too and actually at the end of this month we're we're going off we're not going to be exclusive with Amazon anymore so I thought I'd be happy to talk to you like a little bit offline actually get you a few copies for the classes and things like that that would be great but I don't know if you have any dad see how they react you know so much about future we would definitely open for that thank you I just want to speak on behalf of the teachers you know it's a lot to ask of a teacher to adopt new material and so it's always nice when they have a chance to not commit to it but get out and to see how it can blend into what they teach Hawaii is it's a little bit hard to ask teachers to just a doctor material a couple of my friend. Teacher Day always ocelot ask me the same questions so it's like is this mature cereal is is encircled with different school districts I was like no I had so but they try to find a way to ease into this area to see the can you know to show the kids but I guess they mom was have to have little section for busy people and the introduced to the kids and then tell me what it is right so I think like Charlie say that we are happy to work with you and then see what we can fit in with your program all your class so we can go from there I know we've also discussed like potentially putting together like a little questionnaire or something like that for glasses to you don't have to it would be nice to like that with a teacher kind of putting that together instead of destroying Lewis and I I mean admittedly are pretty new to this tastes like I said this is our first ebook never publishing so we beat we'd be happy to work with you and see kind of what is typical in the space and area so we have some parents that are from elementary schools do you have any comments on this format of book and how it can integrate Browning do you have I was actually we've been trying to figure out what to do for Earth week so I was actually trying to figure out if there was a way to because the kids are mostly still stuck at home and even if they are back at school most will not be back at school in April is there a way to tie this in with Earth week since it is an ebook and it is something that kids could be doing at home but I'm not sure where that you know you can kind of Mewtwo might have her idea then I could have that could work for them every week something new or every day every week and try to introduce something some concept so would probably be more up to you how you'd want to share your cereal cuz you said something about a 30% discount is at 30% off the book purchasing individual purchases or a curriculum this a whole lot better Starbucks that's where the discount would come into what we want to do and our goal is to basically use a portion of the proceeds to help fun climate research while the other ones are going to help reduce more volume not exactly making a ton of money right now so we're trying to going to get off the ground get going yeah to bleed doing some Culver city-based story I don't know how that would look what do you what do you imagine is it is it did you Elementary what it means to be involved in the environment you know in a school district cuz we have a project a video project that will most likely it's still in the draft version right now but the idea would be to have a glimpse glimpse of every stakeholder in the school district and how it takes everyone to accomplish these sustainability goals that everyone's connected and that we're a family so don't know if there's something maybe maybe you could take a look at what we're doing with the video that would inspire you to do the you know the comics version yeah yeah but yeah so I think yeah yeah we are we are happy to to make one comic for you guys and then and see how you guys like it so how the process works are usually take a look at the material like the article when you have or the video you have so I will rebuild a couple times and make sure the information I can easily accessed or able to convey the message you have so then turns it to call so because I want I don't want to miss leading the message to the kids you know you should have very sensitive something you see something different job right so and I want to make sure that I able to convey the same message you guys so then I will can pass my back to you to have your review and make sure that that's okay with you guys so then yeah but I told her you were happy to do that for you guys could come talk offline cuz we're going to talk about a few other things now but with maybe the green ambassadors cuz they have seen throughout the year and maybe you know you could find inspiration and nut I talked about it make it so I'm here in her Stead all right I'm going to share my screen and we're moving along through the our progress report we have been working closely with Hilliard the janitorial company they're amazing and we've identified all the products that the sky the different schools use and we've found the green alternative and so we I think we're not far off from being able to standardize the system and offering these products to all this bulls and but it's a process so we're in the process we're also going to set up a landscaping survey with Metropolitan in 3 schools in March the water filling station sign filled you in on that each I think at the last two meetings but we're going to install two that were part of a grant which we can apply to again and we get three water filling stations for free we are working with Jeff and Caroline on a manual it's a best Practice series on water this year the last year was on waste this year's on water and we make beats best practice sheets for all the stakeholders in school I plan on showing it to the city also Kathy's just so you guys can take a look if you have more recommendations for that we are also actively working on a green ccusd green video project with professionals and students and ulcerative people involved you know right now it's a little tricky with you know schools opening or not opening and so we're the Gathering we have a treatment now and we have a script and we know who we'd like to interview we don't we're hoping to get this done by June you know to show you in June but we might enlist you at some point for the V so so keep an eye out for that and then we had a call with a crayon collection company and they're also Caroline they were also doing the waist what was it called waistless I thought it was written down on here waste they are planning to come and most likely talk to us next month so they have some exciting projects that we want to share with you and then you know we also have is Ashley Wright from from yes recycle to riches Ashley Ashley so if you wanted to share real quick what you do and I said I know you did it at the beginning but you know we might be able to invite you in a future meeting is that maybe that's the best way to do it you were just cut popping in to see how it is yeah so I'm the president of recycle to riches it's a 501 c 3 I work out is Los Angeles in my home office right now due to covid speaking of 501 c 3 in 2020 so it's very fresh very new and we are actually building out of closed loop community that can be replicated and we're just in the process of getting together the skeletons and I would love to present that proposal sunshine and see if you guys have any resources that we could utilize for the community so yes again I'm Ashley Morgan Dawson and I'm the president of recycle 2 with the number of riches that you could probably put your website in the chat box if you want the perfect I didn't want us to listen since we've got some interesting connections right now we also had a call with So Cal adjust before we I move on with So Cal recycling they were the ones doing the clothing recycling program last year and then because of covid-19 shutting down we during earthfest week we just didn't do it but they have a new company promoting their their company and they switch from clothing to the RV so now they are partnering the city of Culver City and have to mobile trucks collecting CRV into locations in Culver City and so I think we've shared that information in previous meetings with you but planning on including them in our Earth Fest week and I think we have a actually you know a slide on this so I I shouldn't go to into much detail Caroline do you want to the best part sure we are planning a big event gardening dating our next week Actually March 4th but we've been donated a pots and soil and seeds by different organizations until the first part of the evening of the day garden kit distribution during the grab-and-go lunches at the school and in the afternoon at 4 we're going to have a workshop forums you have different guarding expert speaking on gardening tips and tricks and even nutrition I still please freaky and connect to a workshop and talk about it to whoever would be interested in I think we've sent the flyer and will we will be sending it again 80s supporting our efforts we created a fire in both English and Spanish and she isn't putting them in the grab-and-go lunches tomorrow so all the families I'm picking up at the different schools can you know we'll have the information and hopefully that'll draw them next week for another guarding kids that were handing out and then the free gardening projects does anyone have any questions about that's before we move on that would be get more info or get involved with that do you want to volunteer we it's next Thursday yeah we will check my calendar and potentially be a volunteer okay Caroline do we have do we have the list of to the high school due to District needs okay it's Farragut Middle School in high school do the Grab & Go at that high school is that correct thank you no problem we look forward to seeing some of you there hopefully we had to subcommittee one for gardening one for green ambassadors both of them were very exciting to to create this platform for everyone to come and talk and share and you know some are very Advanced and others are just in the planning stages so you know if you're interested we will probably have another meeting Union between our monthly meetings so please join us if you can same for green and bassadors run when is leading pretty much with lintao and then El Rincon is started this program and now we have other schools that are considering this so it really brought everyone together and hopefully Michelle I don't know if you had any feedback from LA bayona about not not yet it's it's I mean there's really not too much going on on campus right now so haven't gotten anybody yeah I mean maybe it's just planting that seed for next year and yet Galaxy will add you to the gardening subcommittee thank you no problem good luck are you had a family okay sorry that's why two weekends and then beans every day during the week and all that of course with the closing of the schools the whole thing was shifted to at home it became Monday through Friday and I think this year it's from April 19th to 24th and we're going to set up a partnership with SoCal Recycling and they're going to actually so I think we decided that it would be focused on me elementary schools and that they have $1,000 no matter how much our families bring to them they're still going to donate a thousand to our schools and they'll be first second third prize but every school will receive money so that it's still you know somewhat equal and then we're going to have themes and we're going to share it with you guys and you know as many as I fold and everyone you know that with the community on ideas of what to do so we'll also Carolina reading habits of waste here in the earth Fest week now that was I'm not sure if yeah I think it's what they're going to do if they're the same way as the cream collection be careful next okay perfect so if anyone wants to be part of the organization of this past week you know it's it's an opportunity to think about your school please in what's possible and Phyllis I don't know as a teacher you know do you do something special around Earth Earth week birthday usually or how does that work usually when we were on campus the kids will go around with the ASP kids and they will sort the trash it will help with the cash. They will will sell the guy I thought you sold was based around what we were doing on campus my garden kids were jumping and house and then they'll have a competition where you'll get a half Monica had access to the hats and the t-shirts for the kids get the most so it wasn't anything like on a big scale but it was like on the smaller scale text diamond and coordinate with them they do both middle school and high school I guess projects yeah I do I'm starting to wrapped but the dates were wrong on the week Monday the 19th and Saturday the 24th did we take last year's State spider bites though it looks like it we might at we've done so many other document we might yeah so thanks for the correction I'm so Ashley said she wants to be part of thumb that organizing that week so will kind of work stop and she's like if you're not doing something active then maybe we could paint rocks and then make little bags with your t-shirts I love that idea yes so that's great so let's let's that we are having morning members but yeah did you ever consider signing up for the grades of green campaign I like told them about it but they were really busy and stuff but yeah hopefully next year artist I forget her name now but she went on to create a mascot for us cold all of them and all of his an octopus and we created some comic books and I'm not sure send rain did Chanel share those with you again see if I can get the link because and I think they might have printed out some I'm sure it's very limited but maybe I can get a few to you do not a lot but some say anything the e-link because she is a dog horrible in her name is Olive and her story is that she's on the creek she gets washed in from the ocean as a baby so she's in by owner Creed from the ocean and she's trying to figure out her way around and she meets them crows unique Rose and she needs some clothes and they teach her how to recycle so she collects things out of biomimicry and in her little octopus hands she's holding recyclable material has a whole big star in the comic book is just The Fabulous artist did a great job so I'll definitely send that over to you so at least maybe you could get it out to the students and I'll try Sunday and I'll see if I can get some hard copies I just don't know how many I can get really adorable and she's going to have a series we're going to do a bunch of different olives stories and you're going to start seeing her around town or creating some billboard to go on the recycle truck and I have the mother Outreach going out with her involved in it she just adorable I love her little face and I'm sure you guys will love hurt you and the kids will love her and she eventually makes it back to the ocean where she teaches her her real ocean family house cycle as well or how to keep trash out of the ocean and it's just a really fun little story so anyway I just wanted to share them maybe I didn't leave you there to be so kind of action there may be possible are you going to be Distributing actual hard copies or so won't be able to distribute coloring books and there's probably about I want to say 16 Pages front and back that's a pretty intensive coloring book but it's just just adorable in cacl you'll be like oh my God I can't believe the creativity was one of the are high school students who was interning with us that did the storyboard for it there just just an all-around great project yeah I mean maybe maybe if there's a coloring page birthday we could get it printed on recycled paper and then feed it to the family's ahead of time or something and then maybe one of her pages I can look through the book and see but I'll send you guys all the link to it it's pretty big so I don't know how I'll do that but I think I can figure it out I'll have it help me and then at least you guys will have the link to the coloring book then you could you know print it out as well that's really cool I'm still mean to send that to me alone or else can I share introduced us to a Master Gardener Sylvia Alvarado who owns Ryan's Orchard and so she's going to do a 15-20 minute session on composting seed saving and then Kathy is going to share the city programs that Organics and you know refresh people's memory about Recycling and composting at home and then is the new psychologist that was hired this year and she's going to focus on growing food and nutrition and then you know I don't have anything do you think we should keep a Q&A or do you want to do 10 minutes Joanna here at the end do you think your question could be ready and I'm fine with questions at the end okay yeah and yesterday yes and Jean still there's only going to do Steve bathing because the topic is pretty big for 15 minutes so she didn't think that composting show just forgo that and just focus on seed Saving Bank is going to be a nicer funner anyway you think she'll show things or yeah yeah she's thinking about it what she wants to do either she's going to show
