Andrew Lachman
Andrew Lachman is a Culver City Unified School District Governing Board Member focused on making sure every student thrives. In addition to being a parent of a CCUSD student since 2016, Andrew has over two decades of experience as a community leader, a public policy advisor on state arts/art education policy for the state senate, a senior congressional staff member and a small business owner.

In his professional career, Andrew currently serves as General Counsel for a leading technology company, and prior to that owned his own law firm focusing on small businesses, software and data privacy, as well as serving as in-house counsel for major movie studios and tech start-ups. Andrew was a founder of and past president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Privacy and Cybersecurity Section. Andrew also served as committee staff for the California Legislative Joint Committee on the Arts, Legislative Director for Congressman Ted Lieu and taught business law and government relations courses at Woodbury University. Andrew received his law degree from George Washington University, where he served on the International Law Review and graduated from American University with a bachelor's degree in Public Communication and Political Science.
Andrew has been active in his community as a member of the Culver City Exchange Club and Culver City Chamber of Commerce. Andrew serves as the on the Board of Trustees for Temple Akiba and is an alumni of the Jewish Federation New Leaders Project. He is a member of the Democratic National Committee where he has chaired the Small Business Council and Western States Caucus after serving on the executive boards of California Democratic Party, California Jewish Democrats, Stonewall Democrats, Los Angeles County Young Democrats, SFVYD and MidCity West Neighborhood Council.
The Lachmans are a Latino-Jewish family living in Culver City. They have participated in AYSO and are members of Temple Akiba and likes to hike, bike and try all the great restaurants around Culver City. Andrew's interest in community service comes from his father, a retired public health physician and his mother a former teacher and social worker.
