listen their cost is included so you can see just what we're talkin about so far leaves us about 2.7 million dollars in our facility fund to find anything further there are a few projects on the list that I haven't put a car nothing major so that's pretty much going to be the number that we're looking at going forward through this year I'll make sure to keep me updated so we can just take a scroll through and see how I'm doing this than utk classrooms is the biggest project we have going on by Farhan the. You know we have to there's a lower age 40K so we had to add classrooms coming up on starting in 2324 school year we're going to be doing them with existing locations with new classrooms to go into play starting next summer in the summer of 23 with about a year-long construction process and I put a price of each School up there on the top then the pictures are just going to show the location of where the new classrooms are projected nothing's absolute absolutely finalized yet but those are pretty good ideas of where everything's going to be over on the right the next one is exterior what kind of lighting excuse me that shows what we've been talking about recently and it was brought up earlier in the meeting with rtmps that's what those are paying for high school middle school and elementary schools are done as three different projects and I'm going to post excuse me. Like a summary record for each one there's a Farragut one that's listed on there so far if you want to click that Rebecca you can yeah and it's just it shows the pictures they are the contractors were going through and taking before pictures and then you scroll down to the next page and you got after pictures so they're just going to be a whole lot of that listed free school I'll put a school up as they're finishing I get the picture so you can close at 1. next one we have down at the electronic entry intercom systems there's been a lot of discussion and request for that lately I don't have any nice pictures or Graphics but you can see the estimated cost as with the safety glass this is all it's been put in place already has we've ordered it we started the contractors and we're just waiting for everything to come in safety glass the next one down is the same thing we're doing that in two different phases middle school high school Farragut adult school or first and that should be done relatively soon. It's literally in production so we're just waiting for delivery and then we'll get those in phase two will be the other for elementary schools that will do after that next Monday I'll run the right we are adding the HVAC systems to the three School offices that don't yet have it they weren't done during any of the original processes that's Farragut El Rincon in High School main offices play a large costume that about 1.6 million dollars that difficulty with HVAC installation as always is getting access to the facility we have to move people out if we're going to do it during the school year or wait until next summer we're looking at both of those options give me the next one over on the right the entire high school and middle school campuses are being painted next summer will be putting that out of bed probably in January or February to have the work done that summer color to what we've done at the elementary schools over the past three or four or five years when we were doing one a year will do the entire campus is there right now the project is just for exterior painting at the we have had a recent request to look at interior class general e r r m o t painters will do those but if we're going to look at the type of project we want to paint every single interior classroom and in the high school and middle school will do that with a contractor again so we'll keep an eye on that going forward fighting when's the next number the next one down at the gym bleachers in the high school if you've been in there at all recently and now they're kind of old and rickety and not the greatest things in the world so we've been looking at options to replace them and finally that went forward really over the summer we started that and again we're just waiting for our delivery and in a chance to put them in right now the plan is to do it over the winter break and just replace all of them on both sides of the baseball gym pictures up there to after we get done on the next one down at the lunch shelter and I don't have any pictures of diagrams with this we're still doing we're still working on planning for this but it's in GSA planning so once that gets approved I'll be able to put everything up in that what's a shade structure down in that open area high school eating area next one is high school blacktop that's been a request from the high school itself so we're going to go ahead and do that next summer that black tops all the way in the back from the Iran gate all the way over to the science building basically you can see how I kind of painted the outline or just going to redo the blacktop all out there and do repainting us all the lines in Sports basketball courts that'll be next summer little bit expensive $675,000 to do it all at once that big are you have grouped under cchs athletic projects these were the ones I was referring to buy the Goodyear estate donation hello. Rebecca asked so there's three main components to this at this point there's a Stadium Field breast which has actually been planned for many years we just haven't had the ability to do it there's a team and film room that's being put in off the practice field in the back and then there's a new weight room that's what exchange is going it also backup Daryl on the practice field for the diagram there is just the architect layout of where the potential locations are for those rooms we're doing ground sampling on those right now and we expect the words to be done on the rooms scuse me the reward should be done on the two rooms by next summer and I think the box is already in process so as soon as I have some more for their information on those timelines I'll put those up again those projects are being covered by the Goodyear estate donation except for a remaining balance of about $190,000 next one down our athletic fields at the high school exit high school and middle school. There's been a lot of requests for those cuz they're not in Play The Shape especially the baseball field in the softball field in live actually already approved the restoration projects for both of those relatively low cost about $20,000 each and I was just emailing with mr. Salter and one of the couches. high school earlier today about the progress on that as soon as we have an update all get back on that once the main High School stadium football field artificial turf for what I think about seven or eight years ago and will putting that in the timeline it doesn't need to be replaced until the end of its current lifespan and for the contract and manage manufacturers in the warranty and everything we're going to plan for the summer of 2026 that'll be a big projects that's why I want to make sure to keep an eye on that one keep it on the project list the next one down is Lynn have kind of a smaller project but Lynn how is put the picnic tables outside of their cafeteria area to a Baltimore outdoor eating and what used to be a grassy area his kind of turned into a dirt area so we're going to replace that or actually going to install artificial turf with an outside groundskeeping contractor cost is thirty two dollars it should be starting a nice what did he say the first or second week of November they'll be doing that and it only takes about a week so we expect to have that probably by Thanksgiving breakfast and I know that students will appreciate and enjoy especially in response to in of the two recent flooding we've had nothing supply lines give me entire District are now being replaced as we talked about before and that's just a matter of going around to every sink in the district the cost isn't that much we had ground staff doing it at first but it kind of became a little too much especially since we haven't been able to replace our own plumber so we've been contracting out the rest of the schools and those are ongoing right now and that's just kind of a sample picture of what it looks like under the 6th these are just in most of our classrooms in the district especially at the elementary school there's a sink if you seen those and it's just the water supply line from the shut-off valve to the faucet underneath this thing going to make sure those are all brand new and then lastly on the list or project list is one of our more challenging project the ceiling tiles and it's been a lot of mention of that you can see there's kind of an ugly picture down there at what's happening in our classrooms are glued to the ceiling to the under the under ceiling I need a visa that he's just been wearing off for the last couple years until the child is starting to randomly saw Doug recommendation on the master plan when this first came to our attention was replaced them all and I think we talked about this before right replacing I'm just became too much of an issue because you don't want to just glue new ones up there going to fall down again and screwing them all into place would just be really kind of an impossible tasks we've been looking for alternatives I think we talked about this also at what to put on the ceiling after we take those down we're putting those conversations on hold while we just get a contractor to go through and start pulling them all down them all down and get him out of the way and then what's a replacement weather how to redesign I'll just be a second part project after that I should be starting really any day now and then actually the last thing I put on the list which isn't really a project of the custodial comes up so much and I just put a list of our existing custodial staff and you can see where we've added contract workers for the high school in the day for the high school at night and then several full-time contractors in the day and evening at the elementary school then you can just kind of see what our normal stuff is elementary schools we generally right now we're going for two during the day and Sue at night it doesn't always been like that but because of everything that's going on we've added those contracts persons two of the kind of chip in and help with them and dice phone Middle School we're just giving them as many as many as they need right now with a focus on the night times because that's where a lot of it work and really happen so that's all I have on the list for now there are guns again on the project summary list that I just have it written up skirt diagrams for so I'll keep creating Pages for those and again I'll add that contact I'm looking forward to that because then people don't have to wait for a board meeting this Williams thank you Miss Williams for helping make this happen so just a few things you've mentioned on one of the project the new baseball field does that include what's now like the flag football field at the middle school and if so or if not I know there's a serous drainage issue that's going to be a separate project needs a lot more intense. It's the way it's kind sunken down at this point cuz I'll be honest well the Middle School is without the system so they're working with it as it as they still don't want a secondary bell ringing is my understanding I'm continuing to visit that with them and the PA system yes they do if theirs is the main thing is if there's an emergency thank you for addressing that 35-40 developer fees listed as 5 million we had more than that and developer fees right now that's where it is cuz we've been spending it that's one of our primary ones we spend so a lot of the work developer fees just that's been sitting there so we we've been spending different can use it for the same type of construction projects in the is it at the high school there was a huge leak in the media center is Ben also some tickets and just a couple more things the work orders and being able to track those would that be also added to the website not made me for external tracking but for site administrators to know when the work orders have been submitted where that's my main like I kind of have to work with them because they actually can through the schooldude work order system they can go in and check the status of their own work order so I think I just kind of need to work with them so they understand how to do it thank you for that and if we could have because I've heard from site administrators so we could close the gap between what they're seeing and what we're being told I think that would be helpful just so there's 360 and just to things with artificial turf I'm not an environmentalist specialist but I know that there can be it can be harmful for the environment and there is concern about runoff from the artificial materials is there a different is Dubai there different kinds of artificial turf that we're looking at that is not harmful to the environment and an Ardent it's a relatively small area we're doing a lindhaus it was not okay I just want to make sure that asked me starts cuz there was a project at the middle school that was a little bit larger and I just want to make sure that we're being mindful as we are repressed things even dirt or actual grass or artificial turf for mine that animal  thing is actually about the custodial staff and you can you can make a note and then follow up later bugs what is our system for training custodial staff as their higher do they have regular meetings are there all brought together and put it on the same page about how to clean the facilities what the expectations are allowed to use the materials and in addition to that who is responsible for supervising custodians is it the site administrator is the custodial supervisor and do the custodians all understand who they are accountable to be easier for me to bring back information to but yes there are all when they come on board their trains occasionally throughout the years supervision of custodial staff has always been a little strange because it's actually both its its site admin and the mot department so it's a the mot Department with a custodial soup why is there is the general supervisor and in the site admin takes care of the other day today and supervision of what they're actually doing concerts when the new custodian comes in because I think we've different campuses and Tennessee different for the most part of working really hard and it also want us to be mindful as a district and maybe this can be something that's going to go I know that we have parents who were really involved and students who are really involved with environmental sustainability and sometimes I do see them the conversation thing had directly with a custodian about you know breeding you know it's at the trash and making sure that students are the starting their ways properly and if there can be more support given to the custodians and just some clarity across the board for terracide administrators custodians on wiper relay that information providing a proper training because it is a lot when there's one custodian for 600 students there cleaning tables weeping and also monitoring the trash cans though if we can absolutely have a tear on that I appreciate it thank you so much for the thank you I will save questions and just Express such sincere appreciation appreciation for the work that went into this and that will continue to go into a transformative I mean it's going to make such a big impact on on the Public's understanding as well as their ability to the road and in support of the war what is going on on the campuses and I hope we're we're filling in gaps with contractors but we're still struggling do you do you know what is a Cooper and see what's going on and again it's just this is just fantastic on so many levels and I also want to Express gratitude at the board played a role in encouraging this to happen and I'll have I'll have more to say in the future thank you I just just went to Echo a doctor chance that I am very very grateful to the cabinet and whoever helped put together this website I think that this is exactly the best it can you came to the right conclusion to the put in a website and to possibly maintain the website website and just show the progress that all the work that we're doing and I do agree that this needs to be a standing agenda item and maybe on the days that it comes you know like next week you can present some of this stuff that any question that was asked this week and then you have two weeks to look into it and that be your your follow-up and my only concern is that as we can we start engaging in contractors in these project if it's a question about sustainability is being a cost for example I know who is that when I asked my Gardner headache and I'm putting it on my backyard she was like no you're not too legal right now because you can't water it right now you're only allowed to water it twice a day and if you're putting you grass you need to water it every day for a couple months so I just I just hope that the work that we're doing if there is a sustainability component that we continued to and rested on the website the things we we we looked into we found no asbestos or we looked into putting brass we can do it because of the water in issue as things like that come up it would be great to us a website so that a record like why didn't we do something well we looked into him we couldn't I think it's fabulous thank you I will just add shoe one quick question which is actually the side is up on the screen right now the other things we are it was all pretty clear what the timing was for when those things are happening here with staff are these the extra contract do we have to delete this card to get enough custodian right now are those recent or those things we've had for a while with the timing of when we added a new contract most of the contract recent especially the one that's two additional at the three elementary schools were just out of those last week actually last week or the beginning of the Middle School we've had some but we've been adding more as we've just had issues with my Staffing I don't want to make you sound like older give me theirs offices suggestions and my suggestion is that you put something on there that makes it easy for staff students in public to ask a question or identify something do what's happening I know that you were somebody works for you Caesars and then at the next board meeting or whenever by the next board meeting you to update the website to answer that question when where the other websites to know that it is the school website not for the old habits we have a few in a row and then are we having I'll let you know when we reach 20 minutes let's keep an eye on how many do you want call Ray long too with the baseball and softball fields at the middle school are we talking about putting Turf in or natural grass and I might have missed it but was there a plan for that Middle School field the one that spot behind the back Jim I'm the third thing is but I want to focus more on his the PK classroom at Farragut because I've heard from several staff at Farragut so just looking at the map it looks like this building is going to be plopped right in front of the school which is kind of an open space right now in front of the administration building is that the case was that the best place to put it is it a one-story building or a two-story building because if it's a two-story building that could be problematic 40K because I think there's something in the Edwards on certain grades going to be upstairs so I'm just curious as that one story or two story if we looked at any alternatives because I just think of popping a big building right there on that kind of nice grass are in front of Farragut I don't know if there was any other alternatives to that so I'm a lot of the staff and expressed concerns about that just kind of how it looks being popped in front of the school and staff at Farragut were also concerned if it was a true story building a house that with that service the T K students because I don't think they're allowed to be upstairs thank you we didn't talk about this but I don't want to answer each person is thinking about that's okay with me graduate building many options were looked at on the Farragut campus this was the one decided decided by the architect in the designers as the best option the other ones were like interfering with plague find out in the back and things like that and it has gone through the Farragut Administration and I believe she's shared it out when their staff and family at some point if the one-story building out a two-story building Angela followed by Julie followed by Stephanie Loretto good evening thank you for this presentation I have a couple questions regarding to teach a classroom where are the Amazon assuming that in the fall we were adding more preschool Pre-K classrooms so where are walking struction is happening where those going to be I'm also According to some of the diet preschool classrooms on the outline sites are going to be affected so I'm wondering where those preschool questions being moved to thank you the side know maybe I should we should probably do a separate presentation sometime on the classroom project we do have plans for where to put the other classrooms the enrollment is going to be only increasing by a little bit next year so we don't need as much space we probably should go out an agenda items and information presentation on that have the designer in the architecture so they can answer all those questions thank you is what I can see thank you for giving me a chance to speak I just wanted to say that I to the back to school night for the first time in a long time at the beginning of this year and was unbelievably shocked at the condition of the school next to use condom water fountain cockroaches everywhere trash everywhere ceiling tiles falling I just say I was very sick stated at the beginning of this year on trying to rescue honors at the school that's one of my primary areas of concern but I kind of got off of that cuz I'm like oh my God my daughter is going to school with maggots rats cockroaches urine feces and stinky trash also the PE teachers made a presentation about how service trucks are driving to the PE area which dangerous according to them I don't understand why we would spend even one penny I don't I don't I don't think we should be spending any more money on sports facilities I think that's ridiculous or not like Friday Night Lights I don't know why you said so much money on that Facebook let me know football field but now doesn't let us go there for the fireworks thing I don't know why we need to spend any more money at the primary focus of the school really is to be a place of 3 minutes just shameful to think that that I'm even want my daughter to go there even one more day with kids are trying to lure rats into their backpacks they're feeding the rats I have pictures of the kids feeding the rats giving the kids giving the rats water like what's going on you're like I don't think we should spend one penny on any more crazy surveys or talk about housing staff anywhere when we can't even do a good job or not we're doing a terrible job of housing the students right now who would want their landlord it just seems like insane I don't know why we can't get like somebody to come in and take care of the Vermin rest I heard there was a raccoon in the bench ventilation system for 6 months last year stinking up the place Stephanie and seagulls I thank you for this Mister Quinn I think it's one stuffed and towards more transparency for the district I would love it if you could talk a little bit about how you may work with the ESC that and the future is D coordinator I'm in and how that my workout I know that right now by the last meeting that we went to that they have some water so anxious / fountain water fountains that have been donated by the basement that have not been in I'll do don't have a plan to be installed and I think that it's difficult to think about something a resource like that that is still needed on the high school campus and and that would save also plastic from being or single Azteca from being on our campuses and it's not being used yet so I think that also when we get donations like that we should be able to install them as fast as possible especially when we have that need because we may not be able to take advantage of their Nations like that in the future so thank you not considering what the question was I do meet with our sustainability coordinator armed temporary person on a regular basis to make sure we're talking about all of our projects she fills me in on what happens at the meetings if I can't get to him so we do keep a a good eye and a good communication flow going on that I know is water station we are waiting for them to be installed we don't have a staff plumber right now cuz we're struggling to fill that position like some other ones so they kind of just have been put on hold and get somebody to do that addressing it with mot on a appreciate that you suggested bringing back the Tek costumes as a standing item because I am curious how the decision was made to place them or their place while also considering other needs we may had mentioned this earmark donation from the Goodyear family really quickly at least if you have the numbers here and tell us of the stuff that's going on for the athletic fields still at ease and so forth. Tran had mentioned at that meeting that he had a discussion with another local school board or sorry school districts that was going through a similar process looking for revenue streams with their real estate so it was asked why we couldn't use a similar company that is also local there was definitely a discussion about the need for a revenue stream in the district's but it was asked why there easy with this particular timeline it was mentioned that there is inherent bias in Brookwood presentation because they've been LED in the direction of Workforce housing since April and focusing on not part of the discussion there was something the fact that in the urgency that there was nothing for 6 months when it was first presented in April and now there's a sudden urgency to get it done as soon as possible someone asked if the smaller scope the new proposal would be the same price as the previous proposal there was a request for stakeholders to help craft the community survey not just be present at town halls and answer the survey but you actually helped create the survey and there were concerns about zoning of current buildings and possible limitations and what they could be used for and also the fact that it would take yours as presented to have rev is dream and that we should see if it will take yours that there was some people have felt that we should start as soon as possible and there were some people that felt that there was no harm in waiting a few more months when a newborn is heated and I will say that there were no consensus at our meeting and it was evenly split for but with three of them I am looking for and maybe you don't have it right now a more objective answer one with the time commitment to staying that will be mindful of it we have a lot of items that are with Personnel issues around susilo T's and how can we resolve it because it's very clear from the community they want answers and I'd answer is because it's Personnel issues we need to discuss it and terrific but we're going to look at the big picture and make sure that it could be a statement in this one that says that was famous and I was standing parent efforts to raise money the district will buy services that are dead we consider valuable are available and every school or something like that for their students that we we don't want you to augment their programs give them opportunities that you can afford to give them it's just making sure that the district is keeping a close watch on that and where there is an experience that's being had at one site talking to the other sites and saying what what are you interested in that we can provide and also right I think maybe I can go in both policies because some of the programs have been outside of school hours and this policy already is going to include cuz we did talk about including language about things happening during the school day not being affected by ability to raise funds it should come from the district that if something is happening after school if one school has is offering after-school bilingual education and another side of interested in offering that but they can't afford it then what is the district going to step in and say we can go into this contract together and see if we can negotiate for multiple sites to have this opportunity just making sure that whatever School our students go to their given many have the same opportunities and I know that we often talked about equality is not equity and Equity is not equality but there can be parody there can be a comprable experience and it's all about what the families at that siding with us I want to see offered and it's on us to make sure that we're keeping a close watch on that apply to during the school day unless you want to do want to follow up on what Doctor can say and yes the bigger recommendation to deal with Equitable funding should be done through 3290 and I say that just after looking at Santa Monica unified who has a really good system in place and it's been very successful at that processing. dress it in there so that's where I got that idea example with the leader the parameter of Santa monica-malibu when that shift position from site-specific into a more local Equity outcome so what we learn from them is Robert there got to be somewhere that can adjust both be the disciple Karen erase one but not in a burgundy causing the inequitable other school so what will look into how other district is offended and then adjusting accordingly. you know I find it very interesting cuz today I was trying to I felt really heartbroken reading some of the student achievement because one of the student achievement literally talked about how did not give gifts to all the show which is a organization that we invited to do fundraising and that this child we are now saying hey you're resolving this problem this inequity. and that you know you're going to give and be given an award and I and I think that it's this inequity it it showed up in so many different ways right I can imagine my child saying I really want a gift and I need to fundraise and not being able to go to the family to raise those funds I also heard from parents about this circular pattern that parents were texted during school hours from their children's cell phone to say hey we need to fundraise more money and that this was instruction that was given during the Pats presentation that got your phones and text your family to donate again it's about what if the child has to have a cell phone what is the child can communicate with their parent because maybe the parent is out how do I find this very I don't know concerning that that we saw a child being given an award because they give a gift and probably needs to be resolved in the next in the 3290 Gregg 3290 and it probably needs to be in many many many places of our policies and that's why I thought this man I'm sorry I'm putting you on the hot c t r y we have an assistant superintendent for d i because this problem is so in vasive of all the systems that are here and I've been in existence for so long I hope to see something that we can Rectify this issue with fundraising and children getting gifts and not and I'm creating 3290 so that we can have sharing of Wells that is fun raise my parents and and and I and I'm sorry I think both of them should have some language I was just going to say I do think that they room for us to be more diligent about looking at fundraising organizations who's bringing that to happen about Apex every student actually does get a prize every day a student gets a bracelet and every student in The District in the in the school gets a t-shirt and that's all free of charge that's covered and every class get some form of the party so I think it was more specific about a type of Christ but with that particular fundraising organization they do give every single student multiple gifts the point that I was going to make about the equity across sites was also an example could be our Sports programs to so think it's just my full of thinking about students who are on one sports team their families are able to raise a lot of money compared to 14in so it's not just the elementary sites it's about different groups that are on our campuses in school-sanctioned activities and still having to purchase bathing suits and parkas because the girls water polo team place in the dead of winter and that team can't raise money then do students either go without a parka or have to spend a lot of money on it so it's it's more about the actual cost a fortune these are important topics at night and we're stretching Beyond 4th December this particular agenda item but clearly we need something brought back we talked about the broader picture equity and fundraising and do we want our students to be part of the fundraising effort or not the bright that's a policy kind of question and get the board level to that do we how do we address the ideas of fundraising a different sites and within different genes and within different students within the same teeth in the same school I think that's something that needs to be brought right back for this Kush I just don't think it's the right discussion for right now it's appropriate for the 10:50 we've already agreed that this item need more changes I'm suggesting that if we have that for discussion when it comes back with proposed language from broaden that discussion to include the other things that you mention it cuz they really don't have to be part of the Beast do
