Enrollment Procedures for New Students
Enrollment for TK and Kindergarten begins 2/1/2024
Enrollment for grades 1-12 begins 4/15/2024
The enrollment process is a combination of online and in person. If you are unable to complete the online portion or have any questions, please contact your school of residence.
Before beginning the enrollment process, click here to determine if your address is part of the CCUSD boundaries.
STEPS FOR ENROLLMENT
Step I: Read required letters and documents.
Step II: Pre-enroll your student in the New Student Online Registration Portal.
Step III: Email all required documents and forms to your school of residence.
Step IV: Attend in-person appointment to complete enrollment.

Step I: Please read the applicable letters and documents:

Step II: Pre-enroll your student in the New Student Online Registration Portal.
- To pre-enroll your student, click here, select 2024-2025 school year and enter required information in the Student Portal. (You must pre-enroll each student separately.) When entering your address please enter it with no periods. Use the following as an example: 111 Enrollment Rd Culver City CA 90232.
- Create your personal account using your email and a password. A message to confirm your account will be sent to your email. This email will be used to communicate with you throughout your child’s time in CCUSD.
- Click on the link that is sent to your email to complete creating your personal account. You may then enter your child’s information.
Step III: Complete and submit all of the required documents and forms listed on the grade appropriate Checklist for Enrolling New Students (see above) to your school of residence via email within 14 days of pre-enrolling on the Portal.
- Address the subject line as follows: student last name, first name, grade for 2024-2025 school year. EX: Duck, Donald Gr 4
- Attach each required document separately and label: student last name, name of document. EX: Duck, Daily Emergency
- Documents can be sent as a PDF or JPEG to your school of residence (email below).
- If your child has an IFSP or IEP from another school district (whether you accepted services or not), email a copy of the IFSP or IEP along with your other enrollment documents to the school. Once enrollment is verified, a Program Specialist from the CCUSD Special Education Department will contact you to set up an appointment to review the IEP/IFSP.

Once all required documents have been received and verified, school staff will call to schedule the Step 4 in-person final enrollment appointment. If you do not receive a call within 7 business days from the day all the documents were submitted, call the school. During the school year, processing time may take up to 5-7 business days. During July and August, processing time may take up to 14 days.
Step IV: Bring the following documents to your final enrollment appointment (in-person) with your home school attendance clerk:
- Proof of Residency - (ORIGINAL of what was submitted electronically)
- Verification of Student Date of Birth - (any one below is acceptable)
- Original Birth certificate (with the names of the parents preferred)
- Passport
- Verification of Parent/Guardian Identity (Photo ID) - (any one below is acceptable)
- Valid California driver’s license
- Valid California ID card
- Valid Passport, Visa, or Consulate ID card
NOTES:
- If you do not send all required documents and forms to the school within 30 days of pre enrolling, all information in the Portal will be deleted.
- Your child is not enrolled until the enrollment has been verified and accepted by the school.
